The problem is that you have taken photos from the 50 megapixel S23, and they are known to be photos by benning pixels and they do not give you the best result, which are in fact the 12 megapixels. that the S23 should be superior to the iPhone 14 in particularité. Hey guys, I always enjoy your camera comparisons, but there's something I noticed. From time to time, some of your pictures shouldn't be compared, because the angle for example is noticeably different. I know it can be difficult, especially when taking a picture of kids, but still, it's not a fair comparison. As soon as the angle or position is different, the phone processes it differently, because of the different lighting condition. I hope you get what I mean.

I think it’s better because when using a phone in a daily basis, you almost never have the possibility to frame perfectly every shot, for example that is way too bad for the S23 because of its shutter lag. I honestly prefer this kind of tests because they show you what can you expect from random family and real life scenarios.

with the amount of photos they took if you always end up not picking one phone then it means that phone is less competent than the others. If they would do 1 night shot and with that conclude that X phone is best then you would be right but that's irrelevant with all the different scenes they repeated.

I think only the S23U has the option to stop some of the shutter lag. I think inside the app GOOD LOCK there is a camera assistant that'll give you more options. I personally thought the comparison here was oddly skewed. Trying to get a better rig to take photos or get three people who can take a similar shot. Personally I stopped accepting their review on these phones as soon as they shot a blurry close-up of the child running towards them but the other two cameras were absolutely not the same. I appreciate the real life (no tripod) but you cannot compare fairly if it's taken differently. Plus the insane 4 minute shot against the other two was super silly. How the hell is that a fair comparison?! If you do 4m then do the longer shot on the others. If it's quicker shutter then use whatever the shutters fastest speed is I'm sorry but this review was useless for me personally...

4:58 That 30x zoom shot looks wayy better on the Pixel, not sure what you guys were seeing in the Galaxy's shot. That sharpness on the Galaxy is entirely fake, and the actual level of detail is far less - for example, the detail in the window bar in the center of the frame being completely lost, or the edges of the text being visibly pixelated. Compared to the edge of the text on the pixel, which is super smooth - clearly actually real detail. Plus, those weird borders around everything on the Galaxy just look horrid. I hate extreme over-sharpening, and this is perhaps the worst case of it I've ever seen. /rant

I really can't vote in most of the scenes here as the angles and conditions can be wildly different between all three phones (and it's also unfair to compare 12 MP vs higher resolution pics or to compare the zooming capabilities between 5x and 30x), which can make the result unfair to the phones. Also, the modes that you used were different sometimes. I love this style of comparison though, nice!

@Ari Barra that's not the point of my comment. You have to see how some of the scenes didn't have the same exact subject position, and that can affect how the pictures are going to look like in the end (see 4:20 for example). Comparing portrait shots also requires the subject to be in the same position and the background should also be the exact same as a slight change can change how a picture would look dramatically. Aside from that, comparing 50 MP vs 12 MP shots is not fair at all. Comparing zoomed in pictures with regular 1x shots is not fair either.

The 6:31 30x zoom is way better on P7P. S23 just artificially sharpened it and it looks very bad for me, while Pixel kept it natural.

I've seen enough videos of people that actually know how to take pictures and videography that is mind-blowing what the s23 can do. I was just curious to see what they had to say but from now on only let max take pictures for the camera test

This video proves how you guys aren't really photographers. Preferences in photos is extremely subjective and with all these extra processing, it's really ruining the reality of images. Nothing is really giving a accurate representation of images being taken by smartphones now. Really blurring the lines between fake and reality. I truly wish all these computational photography was just restricted to improving noise levels but not changing the dynamic range and exposures of the image. Leave that to editing later on.

The S23 was still running prerelease software here and they already released software updates for it. These people know that Samsung will improve everything and that is why they make these videos at the time when Samsung is at its weakest. When they compared the S22U to the iPhone 14PM, they made sure they were testing it with the August update and the August update was HORRIBLE, September and October returned the S22Us camera to its glory. My S23U already got an update and I can see a BIG differance in the camera and video already and that was the typical Day 1 software release, March will bring more updates. If these guys were honest, they would redo it again after the March patch but I know they wont since they dont want to see Apple fail! 😂

I can totally sense Angelika's fangirling everything for iphone, i mean idk but i can tell she already knew where the iphone is by its color science. Whenever she picked samsung by accident, her tone of dismay somehow tells me she is a fantard.. Like she even chooses the picture with the super blue tone and just reasoned out that she can correct that, but she favor always the warm tones.

Cable is always better as it is direct contact. The wireless charging means converting electricity into a electromagnetic field in the charger and reverse in the phone, which also makes heat. The efficiency is a bit lower with the woreless charging. Not sure it is enough to affect the battery, but cable is always better.
