Im so sorry for your loss. Been there many times myself. I teared up at the news. I pray for your grieving to be short. Those fur babies are our families, and the loss is devastating. Their memories will always be with us. Hugs to all your other sweet babies.

PS. I was never going to leave him in Aus if he wasn’t fit to fly, he was a big factor in the timing of our relocation.

First, please let me say how sorry I was to learn about Jackson. I know that he was a part of your family and I know how painful that is. I so enjoyed watching his and Chewy’s adventure right along with yours. Your sentiments were beautifully expressed. I agree totally Denise, the pain of the grief is almost like a physical blow but when I think of him now it makes me happy-cry. His body was little but his spirit was the size of a Great Dane. x

@@DarleneLavett What a powerful way to remember him. Yes they give so much more to our lives than their physical size. It took us two months to brave walking along our Abbey’s favourite beach walk after she passed. When we did my husband and I streamed tears the entire time. Slowly but surely we were able to walk there and remember her sheer joy of swimming, playing and socialising there, without us weeping. We live 50 metres from that beach, a true golden retriever, water dog paradise. She grew up there, it was like her extended back yard for 13 years. it was her happy place and it is ours again now too. She gave us a lifetime of wonderful and often humorous memories😍.

Our devoted pets teach us a profound love. They are in our hearts forever.

Losing a much loved pet is so hard. You gave Jackson a wonderful life, and honestly, he did not look his age. I see my pets as my children, and they mean everything to me. I can tell from the first video you posted, how much you love them. 💙

Daisy you made me tear up! I didn’t have children and so I do give my pets all my love. It’s hard, but memories of his smile and zest for life always remind me of the joy he gave me. x

@@DarleneLavett big hugs. It does get easier over time. I ended up having to get grief counselling when my dog passed away. It was very helpful. x

I’m so very sorry to hear about your beloved Jackson, when we started our adventure here in the Dordogne we had our lovely Millie a black cocker spaniel and we called ourselves the three musketeers, when we lost her nearly five years ago we were devastated, she left such a huge gap in our lives so I can understand how you feel. It took us three years to feel ready to share our lives with another and we are blessed with not one but two cockers ( sisters)and our lives are now complete 🥰 You’re doing a great job in the garden and your home too. It was so lovely to see the sun for a couple of days but alas I feel it’s gone on vacance again! 🤪 Thankfully it’s still very mild 😅

Hi Julie. Thank you so much for your heartfelt msg. It’s sad when we have to farewell our pets but I think life would be sadder not ever having had them. My boy Jack was hard to fault really, he was the perfect dog. I see you are an animal lover and totally understand how the loss of your fur-baby feels. Thank you for sharing your experience with me and I’m so glad you have two new beauties. Another week of rain ahead of us! Hopefully when the sun comes back it stays a little longer.

Oh, so sorry for your loss Jackie💔 it’s been my experience that the rescue animals are the most loving and appreciative of your care and love. They should give it to you back 1000 fold . I am a new subscriber just yesterday I stumbled on your Vlog and I am enjoying it from Vancouver British Columbia.🇨🇦 I really love all the work you’ve put into your property inside and out. It’s turning out very beautiful. That is a nice piece of property that you have purchased. Enjoy it in good health. Your art is amazing. Thanks sis that is so sweet of you to say. 🥹 As you know he was the sweetest boy. And the kilometres of walking Charlie and I did when Jackie would take us for a walk!! 😂 And then we would get to the bay and he would swim and go fishing, and then we would be leading him home. 😌 Great memories that I hope Charlie holds on to. X

My condolences. I lost my 16-year-old miniature schnauzer in September right before my trip to Tuscany. As a widower, I very much miss him. I am in Tuscany now but when I get home to Palo Alto, I plan to get a new dog.

True but the kitchen is small and we felt that by doing that it would close in the space too much.

It was so lovely to see your gorgeous little village in a festival mood...it's so sweet! Thank you for your lovely sentiments. Our arrival to France was always hinging on Jack and his ‘physical’ to travel. And then the long trip for an old boy battling dementia was again challenging. We were so blessed to have him here and for him to experience this ‘new world’ even if for only a year.

So so sorry for you and losing Jackson. So much love leaves a vast hole in your heart. He saw you in your new home and settled with Shaun so he could leave you in a good place. We still miss our 4 legged babies and are too old for new ones. Not fair on anyone. I love what you have done in your garden. Unbelievable what you both have done in 12 months. Action man meets superwoman 🤣🤣👏👏👏❤❤👌👌👌
