Its amazing how in only 10 minutes of the episode John Oliver was able to establish Ilgar as the rightful legend that he is and having this beautiful happy ending was such a satisfying an emotional pay off that most movies Ive seen in my life could not achieve on such a high level in over one and a half hours of runtime...well done!

It is now the end of the week and I am profoundly disappointed that this did not appear on LegalEagle.

after such an important but seriously depressing main story for the staff to work on the Ilgar bit was well deserved bit of light entertainment not only for those watching but i am sure the staff as well, sure stressfull getting the visa but it must have been nice to work on something they knew they could actually complete.

This is an episode for the ages. Not only a great coverage of a horrific topic, but a great way of ending the episode so viewers can end up with a smile

Thank you so much for the Ilgar segment 😍 - it made me inexplicably happy, especially after the depressing executions segment!

Thank Ilgar (my new deity) we get the full episodes now, because BOY did we need this follow-up

Yay for Ilgar! I can imagine how he felt: honoured, yet bewildered, as a crowd cheers him on while a man he's never seen before asks him questions in a language he isn't familiar with.

The ending is so wholesome! Just what we needed after the topic of death sentences. I shed a tear. Not at the horrible deaths, but a the poorly English talking man standing and getting a minute of fame. Azerbaijan is quite a troubled country, I am sure this move was an unbelievable highlight for him.

I screamed at the Property Brothers bit. My neighbors might think I'm getting executed and call the police.

LOVED the Ilgar bit. Wonderful.

Well, if this show isn't award winning material, don't know what is! Brilliant show John Oliver.

We need it Ilgar after the main topic. It's so balanced that, for a brief moment, I enjoyed not having the same death penalty issue in my country. But I remembered that we have so much more problems that made me need to see that Ilgar photoshoot again.
