Mass leader

Stop cast-based reservations. Give free education to first and second graduates in a family even though they are not academically competitive. Don't give them reservations again in job selection. Make sure they are getting proper education(Just like a rich kid who goes to a private school and private tuition centre) Don't give reservations to every generation of a family. If Any of the parents got benefited from the reservation don't give a reservation to the children(Otherwise they are physically handicapped or mentally challenged) Give better education to people from Rural areas like Attappadi. Give support and counselling to parents and kids to pursue education. Stop all reservations once everyone gets a proper education. Raise the standard of Government schools, Hospitals and public transport. This will benefit the needy. Even if the needy get free education they need basic things like a place to stay, Food, Uniform(Otherwise they might be discriminated based on poor clothing), healthcare facility, affordable transport options etc. And staffs should not make fun of students and must know which background they are coming from and give them/guide them to get the support they need. I have seen teachers mocking students coming from poor background when they get a low score in exam.

The spirit of reservation is proportionate representation. For example , if there are 8% ezhavas in Kerala , 8% should be government services/other areas. Doesn't matter if affluent ezhavas are doing the job. But the reservation needs to be reassessed. I am sure nobody would dare to look at the representation now and change the reservation accordingly. It has become a political tool.
