This came up on my feed today. Went on trans-Pacific trips San Francisco - Sydney when child in '50s and then tween in '60s on old P&O liners. While docked in Fiji on Oriana ('65 maybe?) I recall the beautiful white Canberra docked beside us. I might have wished I was on it instead but loved the Oriana with all its open decks my sisters and I ran all around on! My family's Tourist Class porthole cabin had bunkbeds and exposed sink and pipes - had a blast though! So much has changed. Now most decks are taken up by private balconies. Hadn't been on another journey/cruise since until '18 - another SF-Sydney tribute journey on Cunard Queen Elizabeth! So different with balcony and much better (excellent) food. Sure would have loved to taken Mom and Dad on '18 trip. Thank you for posting Ata Bilgili.
