Have a look at the star trek fleet command in game ship it's a change enough to meet the JJ aesthetic. it's a dirty pail gray white , I was thinking of scratch building it at some point
The ship look rusty in the episode because it suppose was in space for hundred of years.

How does a ship get rusty in the vacuum of space? There's no oxygen to do the oxidation.
