Sören Sieg: Valse Triste, performed by Angela Rossel

Valse triste won the third prize of the Sören Sieg Music Video Competition 2020!
Angela Rossel not only played this piece beautifully, but she also found very intimate, personal and emotional pictures which create a dense atmosphere that perfectly matches to the music. She additionally enriches the atmosphere with including natural sounds like running trains, steps and slamming doors. As a result, "Valse triste" is very unique and fascinating to watch.
Angela Rossel writes about her video:
Valse triste immediately touched me with its longing, simplicity and sophistication.
When I played the music, pictures came into my head -
Moments wrapped in melancholy, sunken dreams of far and near, and the unstoppable turning of life over and over again.
Valse triste ...... -
