If you have PR and need a Malayali community, you made a mistake choosing Warnambool. Move to South Morang or Clyde. GP appointments are free in Bulkbilled medical centers, try them. Where in India will you get free GP appointments? In a country where it takes 4 hours by flight to cover it's breadth and where there is not much population, public transport is going to be rare in pockets of regional areas. Like I said, you should definitely move closer to Melbourne. I can help you with details in case you need. For a person who is complaining about cost of living, you really shouldn't have enrolled your kid in private school. What is wrong with quality in free education? Have you even tried?

Where in developed world will you get groceries at Indian price ? Fine for not wearing seat belt in Victoria is $385 , and 3 demerit points. In NSW it is $362 fine and 3 demerit points. Perth (far away from anywhere), Adelaide (500KM to Melbourne) Melbourne(800KM to Sydney) Sydney(sydney to Brisbane 900KM). Then do I have to mention Darwin? Every other place is a desert. Binnichen I admire your passion for Australia. I think UK people has very valid points. When you mentioned the petrol(gasoline in NA) prices, missed the big point. Driving distances. The driving distance between two major cities in Australia (Sydney& Melbourne) is approximately 900KM. There is practically nothing in between them of any size (Wollongong and Canberra exceptions). Take London, UK and mark 900 KM. How many million people live around there. So a UK resident can get around UK much cheaper and faster than an Australian in Australia. Also more people means more facilities and more opportunities. Rishi Sunak, L. Mittel etc. could achieve high status in UK. Can you show any Indian in Australia of the same stature. Even in Canada we have federal ministers of India origin. Anita Anand (Procurement minister & Fmr. Defense minister), Harjit Sajjan (Fmr. Defense minister), Ujjal Dosanjh( Fmr. British Columbia premier) etc. Few of the major Canadian universities has Presidents(CEO) of Indian origin. Can you point out anybody of India origin achieved an elected position like that in Australia?. That will point out the acceptance by the local population. Getting average jobs like nursing or lower to middle IT jobs are not the point, yes they are great jobs. Can you aspire to get anything more than that? Kids growing up in UK, USA, Canada do not feel anything holds them back to achieve what they want. Only their individual abilities.

Binnicha, you dont need to state any facts. This misinfo is solely coming from certain channels in UK. They have their own interests. People who really want to come here will do independent research and come here anyway

About snake what you are telling is wrong, I am living nearly 20 years in UK, there are no snakes here.

Binnicha when you compare snakes in the UK and Australia, it's like comparing apples and oranges. In Australia when you go for a walk in the woods you can see small snakes. Not in the UK. Snakes in the UK are especially the ones which are people's pets and which escape out. Grass snakes are there but not so common as in Australia. Some degree of racism is there in both countries. The only difference is in Austrialia especially the white population were initially people who sent as criminal exiles. So there would be some attitude differences. But UK was a great empire which has a dark history of colonialism. So there are racist people in every population. The advantage is if people like warmer weather, there is option in Australia and also houses you can customize a bit as it's more affordable in Australia. There are pros and cons in both countries.
