That's a pretty steep hill, as shown by the stone courses in the retaining walls, yet most of them are taking it in their stride at a very good pace, in top gear, and some drawing a fair load. They are still remarkable machines in performance as well as appearance; how they must have impressed the folk of the nineteenth century! Thank you.

When you think steam power was the fastest way to deliver goods or to transport people and now it's speed is nearly at a standstiil compared to all those cars whizzing past,, why can't we all slow down just a little?
