That was a different time, huh? I'm also 53, and was an "Anthrax" fan, Metal Head. My friend was into "Hardcore", and starting to like some fast "Metallica", Early "Slayer". We both loved the 1st "Suicidal Tendencies", any "Black Flag", "DK's", and many more. "Metal Sucks!", "Punk Sucks!", Fights happening regularly in clubs! There was no in between? Anthrax were in our hometown of Ithaca, NY. Recording there new album w/producer Alex Perialas, and decided to do the "S.O.D." Album, while there, F'n around, lol! It was a Historic change, musically! This was pre-"Slayer's"- "Reign In Blood"!!! Which took it to another level, altogether! The genre's had meshed together now. The future changed! Thanks for the "flashback"!👍
