Ingredients:
500 ml milk
2 tbsp custard powder
4 tbsp sugar
Saffron strands
1½ cups mixed fruits (choose according to preference)
Method:
In a pan, pour 500 ml milk and reserve 1 big tbsp of milk.
In a separate bowl, mix the reserved milk with 2 tbsp of custard powder to create a lump-free slurry. Set aside.
Bring the remaining milk to a boil on low heat, adding saffron strands and 4 tbsp of sugar. Stir continuously until the milk thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Once thickened, turn off the heat and transfer the custard mixture into a bowl.
Place the bowl in a larger bowl filled with cold water to cool down the custard quickly. Stir continuously for a smooth consistency.
Once the custard reaches room temperature, add 1½ cups of mixed fruits and mix well.
Chill the fruit custard in the refrigerator and serve cold. Enjoy the refreshing flavors of summer!
