It looks like a combination of Final Swing Spidey and PS4 Spidey. Definitely the best SHF Spidey for now.

I love the finish of the blue on this Spiderman but hose hips are why I stick with Mafex. I had one SHF Spidey with them and ended up selling it because I couldn't get past them. Thanks for the review!

Looking forward to the comparison. I got the Legends one and it was so fun, I just didn’t see the point in spending the money on the SHF. So I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are.

Great review! I usually like SHF, and I'd still pick them over ML here, but my hangup about the hips is they're the old 2.0 which has never looked good for skintight legs. Other SHF lines for years have had 3.0 hips without the weird caps that look and work much better - Metal Cooler is a recent example that looks really clean, and I keep saying make a Spidey with Chainsaw Man articulation. Idk why they're holding out on Spidey, but that's only the first thing keeping me away, when really I would like to get this suit and Tobey. Then you have elbows nearly as bad as old ML red pins poking through, big metal pins in the feet, waist hinge with no swivel or tilt back instead of ball joints which all leave me scratching my head and waiting for Mafex.

This is def the best SHF Spider-Man since Japaneses Spider-Man. I sorta regretted ordering it when I got the Legends, but it's def nicer with the paint. I don't have 2099, but yeah I guess those 3 might be their top 3 Spidey's. Toby, Spider-Verse Miles all had QC issues where I had to exchange them, but this is smooth as butter, no loose joints or anything too tight.

A lot of people slept on this at announcement and even upon release but by the end of the year this will be top 3 figures of the year and overall one of the best spidey figs of all time.

Its those lil small details that take me out. If the marvel legends version had the same colors and better articulation, it would be pretty dope.

I just got this for $50 after shipping and taxes. Definitely worth it if not buying from scalpers.

Way too smooth for me. If it's a movie figure I wanna see sculpted details and lines in the red and blue parts. Otherwise I may as well stick with my Mafex comic Spidey

How long does everyone think this costume will last in the fourth film before Spider-Holland gets YET ANOTHER one? Halfway through? Two scenes? They're not gonna let a little thing like Peter now being dirt poor get in the way of having a ninth (ninth!) outfit - if not tenth as well!. (On a related note, I don't know why they bother even making/designing a mask, considering he never wears it... )

Marvel Legends Final Swing Spider-Man is probably my favorite spiderman figure and I'm not even a fan of Tom Holland spidey The physique is amazing, the articulation is very good (would be perfect if it had toe articulation). Sh figuarts has better blue but I still prefer this specific Hasbto figure above all because it works as a classic spiderman for me (with a modern touch). I don't believe that sh figuarts is garbage for what it is but I just hate how it looks around the crotch area and the small fists

Its not that the fists are small the figure is small shf has a smaller scale than ml and other figures they are more of like true 6 inches like black series also id say the mls fists are pretty big for the arms

@@Tom11025 nah sh figuarts fists look like Deadpools hands when they grow back after ripping it off. They are not small because of the scale they look like baby hands on adult body. Also you mean 1/12 scale not 6inches. If you measure something 6 inches it's 6 inches. Inches can't be true or false. I don't know to be honest what brand makes more accurate 1/12 scale figures

@@Tom11025 Some people say SH figuarts are 5 inches and not true 6inches like ML. But both you and these people are wrong. Because it's the scale that can be wrong not the inches . For comic book characters and animation it's hard to find the true height of a figure. But for live action it's easy if you know the actors height. The 1:12 scale is a traditional scale (ratio) for models and miniatures. In this scale (ratio), one inch on the scale model or miniature is equal to twelve inches on the original object being copied. I never said I have problem with SH Figuarts size. It's cool to be able to display figures from different brands together though

@@nerdragegryeah regardless of true scale, this shf looks way more accurate to me than the ML. ML head looks bloated to me and just inaccurate. Only have the ML but soon bout to grab this guy.

this is a sick figure but the aesthetics just kind of take me out of buying the figure, and I'm tired of waiting for mafex figures to come out so this a really tough decision, like you can hid the cuts of the sh figuarts by posing it but I still want my figure to look good in a vanilla pose.

I like the paint choices. The spidey costume looks close to the comics version. The things that bother me are similar to your nitpicks. I don’t like the look of the hip area. Both the front and the back. Those hip cups that hold the thigh in place don’t look organic in the anterior profile. The posterior looks weird. Like that thong look makes it appear like spidey got a super widgey. He has a flat butt and no one behind is that flat. I like the figure to look like it has human anatomy. I would sacrifice a little range of movement for a nicer more human anatomy. That’s my only gripe. Also they should have included Tom Holland’s head. I’m waiting on my ML final swing to arrive. I preordered it and that was a mistake. Should have got it from a bigger chain store. Great review man. Waiting to see your comparison of all the Spideys. See ya Tuesday.

Idk for some reason the marvel legends one looks off an I think its the web lines they are to thick which makes the spidey logo look off

Hey man, just got my fig today but I've noticed that the torso is pretty stiff and the crotch area is a little jiggly. Does that happen on your copy as well or it's my copy? And I feel the legs are limited when I bend him over

Like if u enjoy the SHF more power to you, but like you can't justify saying that the SHF is better cos of the "overall quality" like, no duh you're paying over $75 more for the SHF, being better than the ML is like the bare minimum. But other than that the SHF Tobey and this final swing one outclasses the ML in pretty much every way so this isn't even bias for ML.

ML doesn't suck but the posing and articulation is just not as good. So if you're not posing your figure it makes sense!

I'm not a huge fan of how SHF does the Leg Articulation, it makes the Figure look like he has Folds of Fat being pinched by the Suit's tightness, it's one of the reason why this type of articulation ruins a lot of the Dragon Ball figures for me

SHF unmasked headsculpts are kinda bad, like the tobey maguire ones for example. Glad they did not include a tom holland head in this figure could have been a disaster. At least in my opinion...

Head shape of Legends is more accurate than Shf. Plus Legends got Tom Holland physic than Shf. But paint job points for Shf. Crafty Gecko repainted the Marvel Legend and I think Shf can't beat that.

Yeah, I made an error I had to correct

The extra caps on the hips are responsible for giving you even more better articulation on the legs, if you don't like it, then you shouldn't expect any better articulation on the legs probably. Or better yet wait for Mafex's release that is if they will do that.

What I’m saying is, you can great range WITHOUT having to do that.

With that crazy range in the legs, I'd say the sacrificed aesthetic is WORTH IT! And I'm not even bothered by the crotch design.

Scale definitely marvel legends… shf everything else

People need to bring up how the back is engineered more. Why they thought to have two separate back spiders and a weird red rim when you crunch him forward I will never understand. Just incompetent in my opinion, something that unfortunately seems to apply to SHF a lot more nowadays.

Maybe I was unclear, several brands, including SHF have proven that you could get just as much articulation out of the upper thigh without having to butcher up the whole area aesthetically. Even their Ant-man gets just as much range as this Spider-Man and this hip area looks just fine.
