Yeah I moved to Australia later in high school. My friends told me that they learned these things in middle school and I was shocked haha. It's surely necessary and informative tho.

We don’t have middle school though, it’s just preschool, primary school and high school. But yeh we start learning at around 10-12 and then in high school 12-15. In high school it is just apart of biology and not something seperate because it’s just that - biological. We learn this in religious schools (I went to a Catholic school) and even in our religion class we were taught that sex is a good thing but must be respected. Kind of feel sorry for other countries who don’t have proper sex education
I live in France and it’s I think it’s enough for our age (first at 14 then at 16 ) but they should definitely talk more about consent which for me is one of the most important things
Jin is a ⭐️ so innocent and gets embarrassed easily. You compliment each other ❤️❤️

(I live in the U.S.) In elementary school, they separated the boys and girls and made us watch separate videos about puberty. There were a few giggles, and our teachers told us it was okay if we laughed. Then, we had questions about it after the video, and we were told not to talk about it to the boys. In middle school, they got a lot more serious. My teacher said that we couldn't laugh or else we would be kicked out of the classroom. We watched a video without the boys and girls separated. They went into detail on anatomy and taught us about assault/harassment and how to make sure your drink isn't roofied. They also talked about safe sex methods like condoms, but they didn't teach us how to use it. And since I live in Texas, they REALLY pushed the idea of abstinence.

Just like it is in South Korea lol And it’s from the age 13-15 I think to the age 16-17 years old. It’s only twice though. One lesson in science class during the age 13-15 (I forgot the age exactly, but it’s in 8th grade) And the second lesson in biology class at the age 16-17 (11th grade) And that’s all.
좋은 내용입니다. 다른 곳에 국뽕 방송은 충분하니 영국인 관점에서 한국이 부족하거나 배워야할 점을 많이 알려주세요.
Growing up in England, I totally agree with Hattie! I also had a mum who didn't make it a taboo! Love seeing the differences! 사랑해! ❤️
Wow so important topic. THANK YOU SO MUCH JIN AND HATTIE.
I had the completely opposite experience with sex education as Hattie in the UK. It definitely wasn't mentioned in primary school and then maybe once in year 7 in high school. My sex "education" came in one of the worst ways. Oh and sexting wasn't taught when I was at school I'm a little bit older though, sexting happened in schools after I had left. I'm very jealous of people who get taught properly at school age all I can do is teach my own kids properly, wait for them to have questions and give them honest answers and make sure it's always a safe comfortable topic for them to dicuss with me.
Excellent vídeo 👏👏 important to know, the different ways that societies approach this specific topic. Thank You
Sex education in my middle and then high school seems like it was very similar if not identical to yours Hattie. On topic of contraception, we weren't given condoms in my school but were told where we could buy them or even get free ones, and of course about the pill and things like that. Our school nurse in high school I remember had a section in her office with sanitary products so girls could get some if they needed them with loads of leaflets outside her office too explaining periods even though we were taught about it anyway in class. We were also taught about consent and different ways someone might not be able to give it such as if they've had too much alcohol

Obsession with this thing in Korea
I live in an arab country and here there's zero sex education, there's little to no serious conversations about sex even with parents or friends, everyone talks about it only as a shameful, funny or "dirty" thing, which affects people's knowledge around their own bodies. I've always been really curious so I'm kind of better sexually educated because I've always read about sex and wanted to understand it seriously, to know what's right and wrong and why everything is what it is. This video is amazing!! I absolutely love how jin is working on being more open about it since in asia in general it's not well-taught and still kind of a taboo as far as i can tell (just like here in arab countries) I absolutely appreciate you both for making this video, also I really love hattie's confidence!! you both are so cute together💓
@pizzaghozia

It’s not shameful nor is it dirty. That’s a misconception only young people have but when they grow up they know it’s fine and it’s literally how people survive and make new generations. I would like to say tho that it’s not encouraged to talk about it, even when you understand that sex is okay. It’s all due to religious reasons as in Islam we’re not encouraged to talk about it publicly, and I think it’s the right thing to do and follow, not bc it’s shameful (literally god created us in that way) but rather bc just like how u wouldn’t do it in public, u wouldn’t talk about the experience in public.

@@pizzaghozia i understand your perspective. just wanna make mine clear, first off Arab countries are not just muslim people, and i respect that islam doesnt view sex as a dirty thing and it is a misconception, but if we look at the consequences in real life we see that people ARE actually traumatized and can't see sex as a normal thing. I respect that you prefer not to talk about it publicly and ofcourse it is healthier for it to be private, but not to the point where the person starts feeling ashamed of talking about it(which is happening to everyone including people who think its okay). it's very important and yes it does need to be talked about more openly, in arab countries i don't think it's only a taboo, but also completely misunderstood, where people don't even see how sacred but only fear it, and can't deal with their sexual desires so they either completely ignore and supress which usually leads to bad mental issues or just not control it at all which might cause addiction. This applies to adults and not only young people. This mustn't be ignored under any circumstances in my opinion.

Exactly like in arab or muslims country they make this like a not good thing nd even can't talk about this at any cost whatever if there family or friends they never gonna be like these conversations between them...like in muslims countries people are not too much open on this topics... don't mind it but in arab nd Muslims countries people take this in a like bad way cuz it's not even single percent normal for us

영상 잘보고갑니다ㅏ!!
I was in an all-girls school, too (I am British!), and I think that affected the attitude a lot! We learnt about LGBTQ+ sex education, and I remember they put pictures of what various STDs looked like up on the board and were like ‘this is what you’ll have to deal with if you aren’t careful’! They also talked to us about consent, if I remember correctly! And now in this country, condoms can be obtained free from clinics and pharmacies, which is cool!
A great video and very educational. 🥰
where is the part where you 2 do it?!? i want to see hatie put it on Jin’s Big wood
In the Netherlands it's almost the same as the UK!! In the Netherlands it's also really normal to talk about it!!

Your videos are always cool! BTW, it's shocking to me to know that abroad kids and teens in schools learning these themes, especially practicing in putting . I can't even imagine what it would be in our schools. Young people are open minded, but openly talking with teachers is impossible. It seems like they are feel uncomfortable about that. And reproduction themes are taught just in 8th,9th forms (13-16 years old) Sorry for my bad English
What happened to the intro clip? Regardless much love for you guys ❤

I went to a catholic high school in west aus and I think we had like 3 of our science lessons dedicated to it in year 8 (sadly I was absent from 2😪) but that was the last time we really learnt about it. I remember learning about absence tho, in one religion test there was a long question including something like “worrying if you’ll test positive on a pregnancy test could make you fail a maths exam”, I couldn’t believe my eyes lmao.

In Russia I remember we had class about puberty period but in different classrooms and I think that’s weird, we were 12~13 back then and I think boys and girls have to watch these lectures together to understand each other more. What about sex education we had only once and it was more about deceases that’s it… now I’m 24 and I hope that Russia wouldn’t be THAT conservative and let students explore this important topic more.
Hattie your hair looks so pretty
It's really important as a parent to stay open for all sorts of questions from your kids and most important is to answer them as honest as possible. Even the awkward or nasty parts . p**n, consent, safety, positions ,preferences, size, bounderies, genders, sexes etc. Educate them as broad as possible. They're gonna hear crazy stuff out there. Internet is crazy. People are crazy. It's gonna happen anyway. Better teach them the safe way.

South Korea is a country of Confucianism, so social vibes are so stubborn to talk openly that, thereby, most Koreans don't want to talk about the controversial thing 'Sex education". Thus, this pretty couple's streaming would become a good example to debate the subject.

Hi Jin and Hattie! i wanted to give u guys a little intake how i grew up in Venezuela. I´m was born in 1991. I remember that back then I had seen reproductive biology ONLY in biology class. But never had a sex education class like official. No class about contraception methods and how to use them. Sex diseases were taught as a biology subject but was never oriented to educate the class like ¨ this happens, you need to protect yourself, be responsable¨. There were rumors in my school years stating that if you needed, there were free contraception options you could get on pharmacies. Ironnically, the pregnant women age number was going lower, 12-13 years old by 2000. I never felt that talking about sex was taboo back then. The most popularr songs were about, sex. It. I think culturally speaking, the population was vastly uneducated due to low resources and poverty.
Teachers used to boycott the class while students were excited. Also, I went to a girls' school
why did you remove the translation in Russian, I'm from Latvia and I don't understand English, I liked watching you, but now I'll write it off because I don't understand what you are saying. both of you are awesome so far
Honestly this video was really intriguing to me cause I consider Korea to be so conservative about this sort of stuff whereas England is just... Not.... Like English teachers expect kids to be sexually explorative from like 13 earliest (obvi not having sex necessarily, although I know some teens were on the rare occasion...). Like at all of our sex education lessons in science and Personal Development lessons, they had us make a list all together and shout out all the rude words for genitals and for sex and so on, to get it out of our systems at the start, cause they knew english kids joke around about sex so much. And when I got into kpop at 17 and then progressing into to just enjoying watching Korean shows and learning about Korean culture, it was a massive shock to me at how much sex was just not talked about in Korean culture. I hope I'm not offending anyone from Korea (or even england) I'm sorry if I am-my point is I find it fascinating to hear about the comparison, especially as hattie seems like such a proper British girl with how much she swears and jokes around, like I find it so normal . I think I've lost my train of thought, not to mention my point, so I'll leave this comment here by saying thankyou for showing us the differences
@pankakesnotstellar

No one expects you to be sexuality explorative, that's criminal.
Children as young as 11-14 shouldn't be having seggs at that age in the first place. Let's not normalize it. Parents should educate their children at home, and teach them that seggs at that age isn't normal, that they should wait until they're old enough to realize what they are doing, what the consequences are. Like yeah sure, if their are curious about something, you can answer their questions (in an appropriate way for their age), it's important to know how biology, how seggs works, but they should be discouraged from engaging in these things at a very young age. Either way, I do not think that a 10, 11, 12, 13 years old should be teached at all. Those are literally children. Normally they wouldn't be having seggs at that age in the first place. (at least from where I am) Why would they even think abt seggs?

I grew up in US and we were given the opportunity to learn about it in the 8th grade, but my science teacher was too uncomfortable to teach it- so instead we watched Star Trek. Then I think my 2nd year of HS, my science teacher showed us a birthing video. That was the extent of my sex education unless I Googled my own questions to find answers.
with us in Germany it is almost the same as in the UK and the Netherlands. however, we were not taught separately but together and we watched several films on the subject.
😮😮😮😮😮
How did you guys meet I always wanted to date a korean girl 😅
I had sex education classes in the Eastern US in the early 2000s. My course basically consisted of a clinical explanation of vaginal/anal/oral sex, male contraception, and reproduction. They also had a small tacked-on explanation of some differences between heterosexual and homosexual anal sex but i'm honestly not sure if that was accurate at all. There wasn't really anything but straight/gay men and women at the time so they didn't include anything else. And there were no demonstrations/practical instructions. Everyone was uncomfortable but we also took it seriously since there was a test to be graded on at the end.
I wish coming from an asian background I cause talk openly but when sex education was conducted I wasn’t allow to attend classes due to my parents but I learnt from friends so was very awkward for me, I’ve lived in Australia all my life& classes was offered when I was 15years old.
Very huge difference between both countries. We learned sex education in one of the years during junior form high school, it was educational and informative.
