Completly different , this got several possibilities and usefull control , DS01 got only few controls but big sound straight; now no more DS01, got a small synth and craft my siren in it and trig from it too

didn't test the DS7 yet , but eared it and it's tuff as the DS7 is more versatile with several waveshape of the LFO , or the trigger in jack ... more orientated Synar ... for straight dub siren i go to the DS01 from benidub now.

Yeah, the first time I did a 'dub siren' was really with a sampler and a midi controller =D.. I used the 'time stretch' function on a S2000 sampler on a deep piano note, and raised the pitch and made it loopable ('just the tone') and it got almost exactly like some dub sirens on some King Tubby's sounds... but this one (the machine on the video) is the closest I've ever heard.. I saw a lot of other dub-sirens but they all sounded 'dirty' in comparison to (this, and) the one I made on the old sampler (and the s2000 has oscillators to use on the samples, etc.. oh and on the sampler I also had some 'drum synth' samples, those very basic 'POOOW' and thing so I also had those for the controller to trigger XD..).. So, if you configure a nice midi controller to use on the old sampler, it ABSOLUTELY kicks ass as a dub-siren, but then my old (and very much beloved) s2000 is monstrously inconveniently large/bulky, and this one is compact, and it looks as pretty as holidays... I think I'll buy it, now :3.. will edit with my impressions if I really buy it hehe...
