To clarify, this is an AU still. not knowing how Mrs. Afton dies still. I’m making it seem as though William knows she’s dead but doesn’t remember how she died, whether it be he murdered her, she drove off a cliff, whatever etc. it isn’t confirmed as far as I know. William isn’t completely comfortable with being near his kids yet since he has slight claustrophobia and isn’t warmed up to them since he was part of their trauma. he doesn’t want to hurt them further so tries to avoid any conversations they have on the past. though at moments, he feels pressured and goes on about the past and can sidetrack the conversation a little from the main topic. he doesn’t want to say anything wrong even though his kids will not take offense knowing he’s trying his best i also changed my Elizabeth and CC dead designs, i didn’t like the old ones

i feel like it’s not realistic for him to hate him forever and then randomly forgive him. i wanted to make it where Michael doesn’t necessarily like William but tries to understand his pov since he doesn’t know the full story. yes he hated him when he was younger but he got older and matured, realizing hating him wasn’t going to fix his relationship with his father
