To run a 2 stroke to full potential you need someone who grew up on them, between ages 45-65, the bet times of my life, that drop down before a favourite corner, lean in and blast out, amazing fun,

goff8128 Good point. It takes a lot of riding time on these machines to be able to push them to full potential without dumping them. No regrets when you have kept one since new. What do you ride?

bought my 1. RD in 1983 ( 250 LC ) ,sold it 1985 than RD 500 until 2001. bought R1 RN04 than, still have it - beside my open XJR 1200 and, of cause another RD 250 LC . But my R1 is way faster than any RD , 1. gear is already 110, top speed is almost 300. And it is lighter.

Best motorcycle ever made. A true giant killer.

the purpose of a dyno test is to find out what the numbers are and display them (power and torque). This video fails to do that.

If its an earlier model then 185hp, if a later model then 210hp. Dunno the torque though.

It is better to have a computer screen supporting the numbers you are claiming. Without a computer screen this test is worthless!

Missed the result of the dynamometer.

I'm pretty sure that RZ did 72 "corrected h.p.." Remember this is a 1984-86 machine...not too bad considering. Gsxr750s of the day had similar h.p. results..but required 250 more cc.

And the results are ???

The fan isn't switched on, great way to ruin the bike and results

Power?

Btw, it had over 700hp.
