I was hoping for a bit more out of these chips but still a good improvement for a very awesome budget chip, pretty much my go to for clients not looking for insane gaming systems. I am curious to see what kind of overclocking headroom these chips will have compared to the last gen. Seems the previous gen chips most could get 3.8-4ghz on stock cooling.

You're being very kind with AMD here. These are basically just slightly overclocked 2200G and 2400G and I don't think they should be put under the 3000 series. You can just go into the BIOS and set the same clocks on 2200G and 2400G. The actual results look off, comparing the 2200G with 3200G, a 12% higher GPU clock, does not give you the deltas shown in your charts.

Hey man another great video. I just built a system with a ryzen 2400g and kind of ran into a problem. I check task manager and it says that I have 16 gb of ram but that only 13.9 is usable. Do you know if it’s just the processor reserving ram or is it a mother board ram compatibility issue. I’ve watched lots of videos on what the issue is but it seems to either be a setting which I don’t have enabled so I know it’s not that, or a windows 7 problem but I have windows 10 64Bit so im really confused. Also if i go to system info it tell me total ram installed is 16 GB but total physical ram is 13.9.Here are all the parts: Processor: ryzen 5 2400g Motherboard: msi b450 bazooka v2 Ram: G.skill flare x 16 GB dual channel 3200 Memory: Kingston a400 340gb ssd Another problem I’ve run into is that it says the ram is running at 1200mhz in task manager but in the bios it says it’s running at 2400mhz my gut tells me to trust the bios but you never know.

I bought a 3200g and made a budget build for my father. I’d like to see a video on what it can do with various GPUs if I ever get the system back one day. Will it be a total turd or will it still be useful?

@@tejaspadhye He's 100% wrong. You want as fast memory as you can get with an APU, though you'll be limited by Zen+'s memory controller in what kind of clocks you'll be able to achieve. 3400MHz is the best you'll prolly see, and even that will take a bit of luck, but you DEFINITELY want at least 3200MHz.

No issues. U can buy seprate graphic card and if ur grphc card fails after some yrs then also u can run computer as 3400g has integrated gpu. And u can buy rx 560 r 1650 super. According to ur budget. These r around 10 to 15k buy in computer bazars. Online price super high 3 to 5k high.

Without grphc card. Compter can't show display so if separate grphc card fails u can still run computer as ur using now and so apu is good option to have and for how much price u ve bought 3400g cpu and in which yr.

In my country Ryzen 5 3400G is almost same price with Ryzen 5 2600, New Ryzen 5 3400G RM679(USD 165.09),New Ryzen 5 2600 RM580-RM680 (USD 141 - 165),Used Ryzen 5 2600 RM500 (USD 121) From my point I can get Ryzen 5 2600 instead Ryzen 3400G,I will buy graphic card. Those price on Ryzen 5 3400G are not worth, plus a little you can get Ryzen 5 2600 for those who are gotta buy graphic card. To those who on budget, you can get Ryzen 3 3200G or Ryzen 5 3400G,it you no planning buy graphic card. Since I gotta get Ryzen 5 2600 used price plus with 2 year 7 month warranty left !
