    Thank you so much for this easy-to-understand and step-by-step video! I'm a single lady who purchased the generator from a friend who said the oil needed to be changed. I was completely in the dark about this, but with this video, I could get the job done with no problems. Thank you again!

  • @somethinguseful2935

    I put it into 1 gal bottle of gas overnight. This generator does not have fuel pump. So that this bottle is 5-10in upper than ryobi gas tank. Generator sucks gas from bottle into tank then uses gas from tank. Easy solution how to use it much longer ))

    Get a hand pump and siphon the old oil out makes less of a mess and you can do it with a full gas tank. Takes roughly 12oz of oil I use 5w40 rotella t6 I wouldn't recommend using the oil he uses because it is for vehicle engines and has detergents witch are not ideal for this type of engine.

    Ikr, these carburetors are very picky about ethanol even though it was designed for it in mind. I just gave it a sonic bath and drill slightly bigger openings in the intake and outtake of the carburetor so it doesn't clog again. I can only run one tool at a time but i got it free so its worth whatever i can get out of it.

  • @somethinguseful2935

    @somethinguseful2935

    11 ай бұрын

    The manual says that you need gasoline with ethanol less than 10%. Therefore, almost any gasoline at all gas stations can be used. I always buy the most expensive gas, the generator now runs several nights a week at idle power or 1100-1500 watts (portable air conditioner is connected to it). Soon 2000 hours of work - nothing clogged, starts instantly. What do you mean by saying that the carburetor is very picky about ethanol? Does increasing ethanol lead to carburetor fouling? Is that why you modified it?

  • @0852657luis

    @@somethinguseful2935 i only did it because the pivot head kept getting stuck and I was tired of opening it up to free it. This generator is really nice when you have no way of getting electricity and you don't need many devices plugged in. Maybe because you buy the expensive stuff is why you don't have problems but i can't afford to run it on premium.
