Triggerwarning! The lyrics don't match totally with my own imagination of this song. I have suicidal cravings since I was five years old. I experienced a lot of trauma in my life and I'm diagnosed with a very rare type of long term depression. In add to this, I'm also physically ill and in huge pain despite morphium and medical cannabis. But nevertheless death isn't near except I end life by myself. I wish I could! But I have a lovely soulmate of mine as husband and I don't want him to suffer even more. We spoke about his possibilities in life when I'm dead and all that stuff, but I know he will miss me so much. And I'm SO sorry for this! .....But.. when my last day finally comes to the very end, I will call the police to make sure that they will be the first people to find me. Because I don't want to traumatize a simple citizen. Then I will think: "Call all your friends. Tell them I'm never coming back. Cause this is the end. Pretend that you want it, don't react. The damage is done. The police are coming too slow now. [...] I would have loved you all my life!" And I would wish, he could lose all his memories to ease his pain. I love this song since i saw a tribute video of the ghosts from the show Cold Case on KZread. Everytime i watch a crime show; i always envision the ghosts of the murdered victims being seen by their killers, police and detectives, and loved ones. And i think of the same thing with Long Lost Family and The Locator, seeing them being reunited as flashbacks of their younger selves to the present. And I always think of the song as background music.
