Sheckler is the real deal, 100% pure skateboarder, there was lots of hype around him because he was sooo young when he was first sponsored and then he had the tv show and all that kinda hoopla that can make a person think he’s in it to cash in but he’s through and thorough legend status level skateboarder. He’s done some of the craziest stuff ever done on a skateboard, and you can tell he just genuinely loves skateboarding. Huge respect.

You could walk on water and it still wouldn't be enough. Just keep doing you.

I've always been stoked on Shecks, ever since this goofy article in Big Brother where they took him and a date to like Disneyland or something (the girl was also a sponsored skater, but I don't remember who). Funny how those things could kinda sell you on someone back in the day; Big Brother was the shit, so all of a sudden Sheckler was the shit, even though I wasnt too familiar with his skating. Back in the day he was like the little kid coming up; you never really know if those kids are going to actually go anywhere with their careers later on, but he was doing gnarly stuff for a kid. I didn't skate for years, and when I came back he was one of the gnarliest dudes ever.

I started skating in middle school, didn’t last long. Last time I skated I skinned my left arm and hand pretty good. Knuckles skinless, on the top of my hand between my thumb and first finger had a big chunk missing, along with my wrist bone that sticks out, and my forearm. Had to walk around school with my arm bent at 45 degrees for 2 months or my whole arm would throb. The scars were pretty sick looking. These past few years they seemed to of disappear under sun damage sadly. I’m just glad I didn’t get any structural damage from skating.

It made me squirm so hard… Nowhere near as bad as this but I did a tall and steep 10 stair rail against a wall and didn’t lock in and the back slipped off. Heal landed on top of the step and toes at the bottom and broke my foot. I tried walking it off and then rode my bike to the shop to get beer and ice and went to the skatepark. My foot was black and killed. This story took me back

Broke both ankles. One slam. Tried to Ollie off the deck of a big mini/short half pipe, about head height. Landed waaaay nose heavy. Broke nose off and broke board in the center. Front ankle broke in, back ankle broke out. i honestly never cared for him. he had no style, was a robot. but after he beefed it those two times. maybe inbetween, he developed style. and i really started to enjoy his skating.

@@ItsKomical from people who think stlye is not moving your arms legs hips head shoulders essentially just bellow the knees only. with minimal movement. why do you think he is one of the most hated skaters in history? was before he started lying thats for sure. the robot, the precursor to steeze. like instagram skaters doing that no arm move tre flips. the robotic style is alright, but if your gonna do it, you should be throwing bangers like nyjah and chris cole. yeah, a bunch of children who though a skater that looks like he is a stationary object from a THPS or EAskate game. but yeh, its cool if you think complete lack of style is style, empty canvas is art to some people.

@@beatles42ohgg94 everything you said about what style is so wrong... honestly it was hard to tell what you were even trying to say, but most of those things are what makes style, that & how you do the actual tricks lmao like how you move your feet, how you catch the board.. how you roll away. what about people like antwuan dixon who literally has the nickname iron arms cause he has his arms down at all times no matter the trick. i'd say shecklers steez comes from how he flicks his legs during flips, & his catches & how he basically "sits" on his tricks, or squats when he lands. also people hate him because he's a "sellout", ya know.. being mainstream. has nothing to do with his skating.. at the end of the day its all subjective anyway.

What a shit opinion, you can't even justify your hate for sheckler other than showing that you're just jealous of how good an clean he is.

@@beatles42ohgg94 People hated him because some skaters are whiny wannabe edgelords who hate things for no reason and think their cool club can only let certain people in. He is and always has been a gnarly skater. Anyone that still justifies the skate community hating him has a lot of soul searching to do. They're probably the same people that hated Tony Hawk who couldn't be a better ambassador for the sport. You sensitive babies give skateboarding a bad name.
