Ryan Shazier thinks Kenny Pickett is the guy for Steelers, talks Big Ben, Mike Tomlin | THE HERD
Спорт
Two-time Pro-bowler Ryan Shazier joins Colin Cowherd on The Herd to share his thoughts on his former team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Shazier tells Colin why he thinks Kenny Pickett, who's won three of his last four games, is the guy for the Steelers. Shazier also tells Colin what it was like playing with his notable teammates like Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown, and how Mike Tomlin's coaching style influenced him. He also tells Colin about his book Walking Miracle, and how his fight back from paralysis inspired him to write it.

@S H facts based on what? He was a young, injury prone LB who was improving, but his constant recklessness cost him his career. I would have liked to see what he would have become, but no, he was not on a hof path
Big steelers fan, I love Ryan Shazier and am happy to see him doing better. He could have developed into a crazy good player considering his top problem was overrunning the play sometimes because of his freakish speed. Keep up in the insightful and informative guests!

One of the fastest LBs I’ve seen. Dude had all the talent shame what happened but happy to see him recover and start the next phase of his life.
A sad moment in the game I love. Ryan was on his way to an outstanding career. I miss seeing him flying around the field but glad to see him doing well. If he was still playing I guarantee you that defense wouldn't have had the issues it has had these past few years. An absolute beast.

Colin get's tons of criticism, tons. As a Steeler fan and watching Ryan thru his career. Colin, you allowed for such a strong interview, for such a class act of a player, who was taken out in the beginning of his career in football and allowed Ryan, the spotlight to inform the viewer an inside look of uninterrupted flow of pure dialogue. Much respect for that great interview, Ryan is a class act and Colin; so are you!
The biggest example of "what could have been" in football, I absolutely love Shazier and still remember watching him on the floor of that game, so happy to see him back in good health!
Such a positive human being. His thoughts on AB blew my mind. So right
Blessing man this dude is great
We miss you 50 💛🖤
Awesome man right there! I wish Ryan nothing but the best!
What an amazing interview Colin! He was able to speak his heart while you just listened, it was awesome.
Shazier was my FAVORITE Steelers player at the time of his injury. I was so devastating.. and as the years went on so inspired. LOVE YOU 50!!! 🖤💛
Ryan was so great mad respect for him has more heart and courage then any player I have ever seen such a positive person that’s why he walked again most would not of just the greatest character
Love and miss this guy so much. He was the epitome of a Steelers Linebacker. One of the saddest moments of this season was seeing Malik Reed wearing number 50
Kenny Pickett is going to be great. When he gets a competent Offensive Coordinator and a new Left Tackle, along with a full offseason of work and prep, he will take a huge leap in Year 2.

Best most genuine interview I've seen in quite sometime! College you are almost I st forgiven for The harsh treatment of Big Ben!!
l love this young man. l'm glad the team kept him on the payroll while he recovered. Many organizations wouldn't have done that.
Dude, what a great answer when asked if he would ever coach. So honest and genuine. I feel for him❤
Dudes a stud! I’m glad he’s as happy as he his. He deserves it!
Love Ryan, Love the Steelers and gonna love Kenny the future of our team

I was so scared for him in that game he went down. I gotta say I teared a bit when we saw him walking again. Ryan Shazier 💪
If we had Ryan at mlb,we would have the baddest of the bad at lb!!! We would have been just awesome! Thx Ryan 4all your tremendous talent, hardwork, and ur dedication for the steelers!
❤❤❤❤❤❤ I just finished the book after meeting me this spring…I am very proud of him ……Ryan is the real deal….his self awareness is upper level most people are not as self aware of themselves as he is
His loss set the Steelers back...but I'm so happy that he's doing ok. 50!
Great to see you Ryan. Best of luck to you. Hope you are stronger every day.
Ryan is my hero. I have had 5 back surgeries, I almost severed my spineal cord.
Awesome dude....👍 Ryan's another great Steeler and person

So greatful this man gained the ability to walk again, and that the Steelers gave him a coaching job. I never wanted him to come back to the team and reinjure himself. He is a great story of redemption.
Ryab Shazier is an incredible human being, Great player even better person, Hope he does get into choaching. I think he would be incredible at this as well. All the best to Ryan.

Great interview… pulling for Ryan
One of the Best to play the game of Football in college & the NFL . Ryan I watched you at Ohio State and when you got drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. I was so excited. Because I love the wat you played Football. You gave your Best and you elevated other players around you . And it didn't matter if they played offense or defense. May God continue to Bless you and your Family. Have a Merry Christmas & a Safe an Happy New Year . Go Buckeyes , Go Steelers 🖤💛
Ryan would've definitely have been a GREAT one, great to see he's doing a whole lot better 👏🏾

Not a fan of cowherd but had to watch Shazier. Good to see he's staying positive & doing well as he possibly can. Great job on the book also.

That was a great interview with Ryan. As a high school coach he really spoke about why people coach. Most just love empowering young people to dream and work to be quality people in life.
Great job Ryan! I was really excited with you being a Steeler on the field! I’m still happy for you now! A Steeler off the field in Christ our Lord 🙏🏾❤️
He was just starting to take over the game. He was constantly changing the outcome of close games. The same as a great QB does. What i mean is Ryan Shazier was a game changer. With a couple more seasons a hall of famer.
What a outstanding individual.
Shazier would of been a Steelers legend, he was great. So unfortunate. Such a great come back to be walking today, one of my favorite Steeler players ever! Shalieve!!!
im a browns fan but im a buckeye first WE love you ryan and all youve over come over the years come on buckeyes vs uga

Miss you 50!
Ryan Shazier is a truly great and mature young man. One day, he will make an awesome coach. His poise is beyond his years.
Just love this guy
Shazier is a stud, happy to see him happy.
Man as a Ravens fan I miss this guy. He was Ole school tough with new school athletism. I hated how he wouldn't even be in position and still make a play just because of his athletism. Like geesh lol. I miss the battles between young great linebackers in Shazier vs C.J. Mosley. 😕 😞 those rivalry games were the best. I was so heart broken when he got that injury.
Thanks for interviewing my favorite player of all time
What a guy. Great player and better person.
This really hurts and breaks me and all Steelers Nation fans. Losing Ryan Shazier into paralysis on MNF against Bengals in Cincinnati. He couldn't play football anymore. 😪🥺😤😢😥😟😓
An amazing man and person
Dude was legit. His lateral speed was a step faster then most. He was a hall of famer in waiting. His play was game changing..
Steelers nation loves shazier. Refreshing perspective on life, and an absolute menace on the field.
I hated seeing what happened to Ryan. Such an amazing talent who was on his way to being the best ILB in football. Would love to have seen him realize his full potential on the field. But since that was taken away, all I can say is he's a stronger, better, more positive man now than he otherwise might have been. Im so grateful to see how well he's doing, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I hope nothing but the absolute best for him and his family. Great guy!
Miss Shazier. Was such a great player. Good luck, man, glad you’re doing well.
Love this brother!! Go Steelers
My homie from Ft. Lauderdale!! " THE U" refused to recruit him, but Luke Fickell (Defensive Coordinator) at Ohio State saw something special.
I agree w Ryan Shazier!! Pickett is our man !!!
he was the biggest hit the Steelers ever took and it's still resonating today.....they can't find another...Farrior...Shazier
Ryan shazier was so much fun to watch. freakiest athlete at inside backer the league has ever seen imo
Love you Sha!
Miss watching this guy play so much!! He and TJ would've done serious damage together!! His physical career may have been cut short but i hope we get to see him in a COACHs hat one day..the dudes football IQ is incredible
This interview changed my perspective on Colin.
You are an inspiration sir 🙌
Miss you Sha, glad you doing well fam⚫️🟡
Gad I wish we still had shazier
I'd like to see Ryan Shazier get into coaching with the Steelers. Maybe start at Ohio State as an assistant then move to Steelers.
No doubt that he would have finished his career with a Gold Jacket (and maybe a Ring or 2). It sucks that his career was cut short, but it’s great to see how he has turned a (near) tragedy into something so positive. I need to read his book…
Godspeed Ryan. He’s an amazing person and Steeler and an inspiration! And Idgaf, if he’s healthy they beat the Pats. He was THE guy. That super special Steelers defender. After Troy, before TJ. Spence tried but he just didn’t have the nose and the speed. Watch the tape. Also if Bell didn’t get hurt that would help lol
Once I figured out he wrote book… I immediately went to Audible and purchased it…
