Yeah it is pretty crazy how fast it rose up but atleast its for a show that deserves it. You can really tell how much people have worked on it and how much passions in it.

I like how you and pomni have the EXACT same reaction to gummigoo being evaporated like sir pentius I laughed so hard😂😂😂

Fun Fact: when jax's head doesn't move during the rocky road section, in the background, ragatha and kinger are switching places really fast.

Hahaha legit would have ruined that moment and I would have thought I've been cursed by a musical pixie. This is why I'll always stand on emotional scenes are always better this way. It makes it feel real and your able to connect easier. Though there's nothing wrong with music in the back but singing will never bring you to the same place.

I love that moment at 31:52 when Jax lets his mask slip for a moment before he pushes away his emotions again.

I know you would have stared at the background for centuries, but there is SO much to see to it that it hands down became my favorite parts to look to. The amount of effort into each particular candy texture in the kingdom and the land itself is INCREDIBLE, from their walls made of wafers to even the drawbridge line of licorice! A lot of the truck parts are made of sandwich biscuits and the tanker itself is like a swiss roll! The western rocky ambiance are piles of cream custards and the clouds and sky have this bubblegum or cotton candy texture to them. Also they shift the gear of the truck for Rocky Road and the path is literally rocky road candy, there are so many subtle details in here you could count them all day!

Congratulations Ryan for somehow downloading the video not in English for a third time.

29:48 You are the first reactor I’ve watched that’s managed to catch Chad and Max (yep that’s their names)’s lil background dances. The animator working on the scene thought they looked too stiff just sitting there while the others talk, so they animated them doing that lol

the thing about the funeral scene is it feels less like it was meant for kaufmo, a character we know very little to nothing about, but more so was meant for pomni, who you see eases up and evens smiles realizing that they have each other's backs, that she has friends who will support her and they're all in it together. the main theme gently playing while in her vision they catch her from falling into the abyss (except Jax btw, whose hand doesn't grab hers in her vision nor was present at the funeral) is so sweet and puts a big ol smile on my face, really well done. i have to admit that at times the pacing felt a bit awkward but overall this episode is phenomenal and i'm glad you like it as much if not more than i do. keep up the good commentary mr hobo :D

It's such a crushing upsetting moment and left me slackjawed for a while after I first saw it myself, but your reaction to Gummigoo at the end was the best and funniest I've seen =D

I definitely agree this is better than episode 1 Episode 1 wasn’t bad but it had to give exposition which made it so there were less jokes, but this episode was just nailing joke after joke while still having that existential dread aspect and it was amazing. I don’t have any overarching theories but I do think Gumigoo is going to return and that he won’t remember Pomni at all and that’s going to be a problem for her to face in one episode since Ragatha mentioned Caine reuses NPCs

How do you do the language thing every time Ryan? And I gotta say I really enjoyed this episode of the Digital Circus. I felt that it improved its focus a bit compared to Episode 1 and was thus more effective. I can't say I didn't see Gummigoo dying coming, but it was still pretty sad, though. Certainly not a good start for Pomni after the first episode. I also really enjoyed your reaction here. Had some good jokes and bits. And your attention to detail strikes true still.

You know, I sort of feel like the horror doesn't click for me, but I'm fairly certain I know why... Philosophy. I am an existentialist, I basically follow an optimistic form of nihilism where, even in real life, I realize that nothing actually matters, we were created by random chance and exist for no greater purpose, with no goal we're inherently made to achieve, everything is going to end at some point, we're all going to die and turn to dust, but that's ok.. It just means that we have free will, we aren't bound by any kind of fate or destiny or god or any of that metaphysical bullshit, we can create our own goals and enjoy our chaotic, random, existence... And I feel like that kind of ideology completely shatters the horror of the digital circus. Like, if I were in Gummygoo's shoes and realized I was an NPC I'd just be like "Neat" and continue going about my day.

Well it could also not be hitting with you because I think it's not horror and more emotional. It's trying to make you feel for npc like toy story makes you feel for toys. I don't think its trying to scare you but make you feel or atleast make you want to find out what's going on and maybe that's also why you cant connect with it with how you explain yourself. To me I could never be nihilistic. That feeling of no purpose makes me want to put a bullet in my head
