He’s a great storyteller. Great to see a guy turn his life around.

I think he does this so well because in recovery programs they teach you that you have to be 100% honest with yourself. He was forced to remember all these things with a sober mind, and therefore sees these memories through a different lens. But it is great to see the transformation the man has made.

Ryan Leaf playing for Miami would’ve been an Documentary by itself
Dang Ryan Leaf is flourishing now. Good for him.
I’m glad to see Ryan has turned his life around. I hope he finds success at whatever he decides to do.
If ryan leaf had some where close to this level of maturity while he was in the league, he would have been a hall of famer

Yea, I was thinking something similar. He at least wouldn’t have been one of the biggest draft busts of all-time. Idk about HoFer, but I think he could’ve been really good, like a pro bowl QB. But then that would change a whole lotta things. Like SD likely would’ve never drafted LT or Drew Brees a few years later. A few years after that they wouldn’t be the team getting snubbed by Eli Manning who basically refused to play for them and forced them to trade him to the NYG for Philip Rivers.

That is a reach. Big reach.
The part about high school drinking makes so much sense about what he went through with drugs and alcohol.
I’m genuinely enjoying everything that Ryan leaf has to say. Someone get this man his own show!
This is the 4th video I have watched of Ryan….he is really good at this..
Dude...Leaf is hilarious. How can you not like this guy now? Whatever he went thru has made him a better human being. Who wouldn't want to spend some time with this guy?

There are lessons to be learned from Leaf. I wish he could mentor young QBs. He would be fantastic.

I saw Leaf face down - passed out back when he was up for the Heisman trophy - Midtown NYC bar - fully passed out. Huge guy also -
I am glad he is talking like this. This changes it from a cautionary tale to a tale of reality. What in a young person might go through when through when 1st confronted with the big city and the big city attitudes. I applaud his candor
My buddy Kevin told me that he ran into Kerry Collins at a Pearl Jam concert and he was drunk as hell the night before a Sunday game. Anyway, he said that he wished he would've bet against the Carolina Panthers knowing what he knew lol. I guess these stories that Ryan discusses made me think of that story.
Ryan Leaf needs to have his own show.

I knew Terry Crews played football and even was a 3rd string linebacker for the Chargers for some time, but i'm shocked to hear The rock played in the U and even won a national championship as a backup, plus he was the backup for the NFL and college legend Warren Sapp. The Rock is like Forrest Gump of the 90s, he's everywhere.

Guy at least had great taste in music. Two of the best CDs in their genre of all time!! Leaf copping Ten is the only smart decision he made for over a decade n half.
It's Rocks under the bridge
Ryan Leaf is STILL self obsessed. Just, functionally so.
funny that sapp was a te in high school moved to dt and they wanted to move leaf to te
There's a lot of stuff Ryan Leaf did but didn't know about it for decades. He was also drafted 2nd overall and was starting QB for the Chargers, and had no idea about that until decades later.
Dwayne Johnson and the Miami team ruined Ryan Leaf.
Pearl Jam's debut album was Ten. Not "Jeremy" or "Alive" ffs.

This doesn't add up. The Chronic came out in 91. He left college in 98 so he probably got recruited around 93.
Thank god he didn’t go to Miami! Good to see him living life
I've conferred with my Dad, as we both were born and raised in Great Falls, MT as well, and we agree that about 50% of this is bullshit. Ryan got an MIP in high school, so there's no way Miami was his first time drinking. Also, he was a preppy jock, had to have the nicest clothes, so the jean shorts and flannel thing is hard to believe.
