I'm a Liverpool fan but I have to admit: the few times berbatov and giggs were in the same triangle AND geniuses like Scholes helping build the game, it was just a football IQ class. Much love to Man united fans you had an amazing team in the early 2000.

Ryan giggs is one of the greatest talent football has ever seen. His twist/turns and zigzagging was poetry in motion. Like luis figo and George best, a winger who was able to blend explosivness with elegance.

Giggs and Gento were the best left wingers ever. It was a joy to watch Figo (RW) and Giggs (LW) giving lessons in the 90’s of how to play as a winger, at their prime they were unstoppable

Genius! As Scholes (another genius) once said, you just gave Giggs the ball, and he would run past 4 or 5 defenders and make the Old Trafford roar. When I was a kid I always looked forward to the CL nights, just because I wanted to see that "welsh winger of Man Utd" harassing defenders on the left, with his gazelle dribbling. Devastating speed and elegance (one of the most perfectly balanced players I've seen running at full speed with the ball); immense adaptability, vision and intelligence (he always looked for different options, dribbling, passes, one touch..)... and his less emphasized aspect, the hard work: he never went for personal glory, he always put the team before himself, he defended, chased opponents, helped the left back, he moved without the ball to create space to his teammates... All of this up to freaking 40 years old.

People often just focus on Ryan’s pace and dribbling on the wing, but it is the combination with his world class crossing and passing technique and composure that made him an elite football player. Never did we see Ryan look nervous in big matches. Imagine if Hojlund nowadays has Giggs putting in crosses and through passes for him, he would hv alrd scored tons of goals, but sadly he only has Rashford and Antony…

Good point actually for someone to get 14 would be insane. To put into context lets say from 20 a player makes their regular first team, they need to win it every year and end at 34 years old. Essentially their entire career and not only that every year they need to win thats by no means a guarantee as competiton will always be firerce

Overrated player, definitely. I always felt Giggs had the talent to score and create double the number goals than he actually did, but the final shot or cross often let him down. Lack of confidence I reckon (which perhaps accounts for some other things about the man).

I don't think he was a great player at all . There is no doubt that he was lighting quick and was a wonderful dribbler . But his crossing was average . He had no composure in front of goal . Was constantly plagued with injury so he was very inconsistent . In many ways he was a poor mans george best .

Most Decorated winger in the PL for a reason. He was regular starter in all the eras of SAF United. Giggs is definitely the greatest PL winger of all time.

His crossing was not bad at all, he could whip them in well. Dead ball specialist as well, step down from Beckham but as good as you'd get otherwise.
