This is the sharpest I’ve ever seen Ryan, foot work getting way better he’s always had speed and power but now he looks faster and stronger 😲 he looks really focused, idk man I might be wrong but I got a feeling Ryan gonna take this win by knockout, I remember when I said Crawford was going to walk through Spence and everybody looked at me like I was crazy AND laughed 😂🤷🏽‍♂️ I’m REALLY rooting for Ryan man he deserves more credit and respect than he has, just cause he lost to tank SO WHAT!! Devin needs to be on top of his game. Ryan has always been talented, blessed with the fast twitch and explosiveness that u cant teach. Now that he’s improving on his fundamentals, he’s a serious threat to everyone. As good as Devin is, he’s always vulnerable cuz he has no power, and his chin is suspect. He can look pretty for 10 rnds and next thing he’s on wobbly legs. This game is insane. Cant wait for the replay!

I like that derrick james mimics the shots the fighter will throw that they are preparing for. I feel like every other trainer when they do pad work they just do status quo pad work and dont implement the opponents tendencies into the padwork

Derrick imo actually looks like one of the best and actual pad men. Just wished he would work on how to clinch and grapple and inside fight like a Roberto Duran cause Haney gonna try to tie up Ryan and that clinch fighting is a lost art that a lot of old school fighters used to break down a mover. Wish we had more information on Freddie Brown, old school inside specialist

I don't know I am not a professional trainer but Ryan looks just a little green ... he is really gifted but he takes a lot of training to master the craft of boxing

He is looking gooooood. Fucking hard hits and seems effortless in all that he does together. Great symphony when he really gets it going.

I feel like a lot this goes by the way side once he’s in the ring. You see a lot of similar setups and technique here but it’s the same Ryan at the end of the day. I’m sure it takes while to work with a coach and really pick up stuff. It’s funny cuz similar when you see Derrick working with Errol Spence although Errol is sharper than Ryan in my opinion everything looks almost too simple. I’m aware Simple fundamentals are the best thing but idk what it is when you see Devin on pads and on the bag he’s just so damn sharp and quick it’s like watching two complete different level of fighters.

He is looking REALLY sharp compared to before. If Derrick James managed to teach Ryan how to set up his left hook it could mean real problems for Haney. I just hope that when Ryan gets touched a little he doesn’t revert back to his old style of instinct.

Ryan looks like he just working out. He always looks like it’s just a workout and not actually training. I see a lack of focus, understanding, and thinking about why punches are being thrown.

He needs a type of trainer like Roach who is going to tell him what he lacks and provide him the type of training to make him a complete fighter. Gervonta was right and proved it in their fight, that Ryan only has the left hook. And that's all that Gervonta had to defend himself from and it made the fight look really easy against Ryan. Ryan can hit really hard, though I think he can still generate more power if he does it from his legs and twitch of his hips. That way he can also generate multiple types of shots from different angles like the Pacman.

He fought devin 6 times they know eachother very well only thing helping ryan is that he fought tank so he has felt power / skill before and the bug stage with alot of people so he dont have to really feel nervouse and its his what second or 3rd fight at 140? Just helps him way more than that tank fight but it served him well aswell with his last opponent thats way more powerfull than haney and more active as in coming forward he should be ok if he isnt reckless but if he comes out like in that tank fight he will loose but i think he has learned and his defense got a bit better according to this video and his foot work …if he can keep calm i got him winning easily

Ryan just needs more weight room training and hit them legs and i think he gon be much better. He should also try getting lower in his stance especially for body shots
