Ryan sounds technically proficient . But his articulation is the same all the way as is his dynamic level could be more interesting I feel the same with Steves playing. They are technically superb. They are young(still). I know this is a "blowing session" and it is fun. But it always sounds like they are on the very edge of their abilities. I would mention Joe Henderson here as an example of a player that can fire it up, but always has poise. Love you cats. And just an observation.

Yeah it’s too much. And I say this as a piano player with a high tolerance for “too much”!
