    100%. That is right there the definition of kidnapping, which last I heard, carries with it some serious prison time if convicted. That video depicts a man commuting two felonies: kidnapping and assault & battery. I get that she chose to settle it civilly and hurt his bank account rather than press criminal charges to have him face possible jail time. But in this instance, why does she have to decide to press charges for charges to be brought against him? The state should independently charge him in a criminal court (as long as the statute of limitations hasn’t expired).
