My good friend Paul Swisher from Laredo Texas is the one he is referring to that taught him this song. He was Ryan’s dad’s neighbor and they would hang out and drink beer on the back porch and the rest is history.

I met Paul back around 95/96 and would lose track of him for a few years till I reconnected in about 2000, then lost track of him again till about 2015 or so. Haven’t heard from him in many years, but he was back in Laredo last I heard from him. Really great guy and I hope he’s doing well.

When Lloyd traded his buckle for a new guitar and gave it to Walker had to tug at your hearts strings, that is if you have a good heart that is beating. Thats the way life should be lived, humanity at its best.....something that this world has mostly left behind with the times, and I sure hope that we all figure out how to bring that back!
