The faunus generally have full human biology plus that of one animal trait.(with a few exceptions) It would therefore make sense for her to have two sets of ears if her faunus trait is her ears. Plus, the practical application of the ears could be easily explained in that her human ears have full 360 degree sound range at low sensitivity, whereas her cat ears would have a much more limited arc in which they accept sound, but with far more power. Imagine always having a powerful directional mic with you no matter what.(in addition to normal hearing capabilities.) Plus, her cat ears would be capable of focusing on hyper and sub sonic sounds when not covered by her bow, while her human ears would not, meaning she could hear grimm from miles off, but still sleep at night in a city without issue. Tl, dr Her cat ears are strong, but narrow, her human ears are wide, but weak. Both sets together gives her more advantage in perceiving sound than if she just had one set.

The phrase you're looking for it "leaning on the fourth wall". It still works in contexts to the show, but also has meaning outside of it.

'Zwei'. It's the German word for 'two' as in, he's got two colours. Weiss is also german for 'white'. The thing is, while in OUR world, they should be pronounced with a W that sounds more like a V, Remnant doesn't HAVE a Germany, so it's a softer sound.
