As a former auto glass installer for 26 years, I was really surprised when they release the vehicle that quickly . 20 some years ago when I was doing it, we had to hold the vehicle for 4 to 8 hours depending on what the temperature was outside. Yes, it does need to sit and cure. If it’s still loose when you leave, I would go to a different company. They obviously don’t know how to install glass. It needs to be completely removed and reinstalled with fresh urethane and allowed to cure. Another thing we used to do is put tape around the windshield to body area and have the customer peel it off the next day just to prevent any movement at all.

Hi Carolyn, I don’t know if you have moved on from from Utah and heading towards Washington State but I live on the dry side in the Tri-Cities (Richland) we have a lot of free parking along the Columbia River and a great low fee place all grass and choice of no hookups clean bathrooms and hardly ever has more the a few campers it’s kind of hidden away and a sort walk to the Wenatchee River. We are very close to Canada, Montana, Idaho, Oregon some beautiful camping in all these states. You and Sadie more then welcome to a long hot shower or spa tub and to use my laundry. My first trip to the RTR is that right? Can’t remember the name … I wanted to meet you and Capone but it was the year you missed must of been 2019 or 2020 as Covid came along after that. When I was thinking about buying a travel trailer you where the first person I started watching on KZread to find out what I needed to know. Also when you were planning your trip to New Zealand I mentioned I used to live there actually for 14 years my 2 kids started school there and finished school there and they went back to Australia to get jobs in Sydney. The few times I have talked to you here I signed off New Zealand Lynzee to help you to remember me as I don’t comment to often. Anyway you’re welcome to use my facilities and I’ll show you and Sadie some great spots to overnight. I just lost my two dogs Shy the year before last she was 17 and my little Izzy last December he was 16 I knew he was old and thought I was prepared but the loss was terrible still getting over it so I understand how bad it was when you lost Huck. Let me know if you do get to my neck of the woods. NZ Lynzee

The windshield needs to sit so the glue can set in. Plus when u close ur vehicle doors, all windoes should be slightly open so the pressure while closing, will not put pressure onto the windshield within 24hrs. I've had my windshield fix and in no time a rock flys into my windshield. I put a small about of supper glue into the dent. I love deserts!😝

I was born and raised on Mountain Time in Colorado. West of Woodland park near Hartsel. I'm in Kansas now. I am so longing for my Rocky Mountains and to travel but only have a 4 door Ford Focus. Want to be in an rv so so bad. Especially since my husband passed 2 years ago coming this May 25th. My husband and I spent some very good times living in Colorado together also as well as Erie PA the last 5 years of our marriage. Can you tell I'm lonely. Lol I'm sorry. But yeah I really envy you and anyone who lives their life like this. Happy and safe travels.

Installers came to house, they were awesome. Good luck with that windshield. I loved that flaming gorge area. Had some great times up in that area. Dinosaur National Monument is worth seeing, not far.

Yes, had to replace the broken windshield twice in the Chevy van, The 1st one wouldn't hold the seal eather, and while putting the 2nd one in they noticed a dimple and filled it in, so that seal stayed nicely for a week, then a rock came off a dump truck right on the driver side, and back I went to the same place!! But yes, I can understand your frustration on the window!!

Have taken the Hwy 50 (Loneliest Hwy) from Carson City NV all the way to La Junta CO.....Big mistake in Colorado as you dont want to go over the Monarch Pass (11,300ft) in a Motorhome...Longest Pass ive seen...Had to do 35mph the whole way up..I-70 next time through Colorado for sure...Love the scenery on that Hwy 6 coming into Salt Lake City....Aways wanted to do Flaming Gorge but it seems most of the time we been that way its been winter and snowing...Even got snowed in at Little America cause I-80 closed...Have taken the I-80 ride 4 times from Sacramento to the South Bend Ind. area so i enjoy seeing your little side jaunts of of the interstate...IDEAS !!! Hope your enjoy your time with your mother in NY....Travel safe, you and Sadie stay well...

It depends on the weather. And in the semi, they make us sit for 2 to 4 hrs to let it dry
