If you're interested in larger lots (10+ acres), i highly recommend you look into land that has an agg. valuation. The tax break for agg valuation is incredible. For a few thousand dollars you can hire a wildlife biologist to write up a wildlife plan and you can convert from agg to wildlife valuation. Same benefits as agg, but you don't have to run animals or lease it out for agg.

That is very interesting. Didn’t know you could do that. Some of the land we looked at would be considered agg so we’ll let you know when we get it.

I have always wanted to live there! My family has land in Palestine that has been in the family since my great great great grandfather and his brothers purchased the land after they were freed from slavery. And just casually walked there from Virginia. I have always wanted to build or put a tiny house there, so we can have somewhere to travel when we need some time away from New Zealand. Def keep posting videos about your process, I am very curious!
