    This would be a great install for us...Last fall we went up to Maine (Old Orchard Beach) to camp and we ran out of hot water..I forgot that we ONLY had a 6 gal tank..With 4 adult females and one grandson..after one had taken a shower - we ran out of hot water (Wife was also washing dishes at the same time)..This would be perfect for our family.. Thanks for the video..Looks like it isn't a bad install to do.

    great video! the only thing this Fogatti unit already has a built in pressure relief valve and drain screw in the front it's the Red knob. :) 17:18 of your video.🙂

  • @TSquadRVing

    @TSquadRVing

    2 ай бұрын

    Thank you for watching. So the red knob is not a pressure release. It is simple a drain in case you want to drain what is left in the pipes of the water heater. Since it’s a tankless there is no tank to drain. Just the pipes. The directions do say to add a pressure release valve to the back. Please do not mistaken that the red knob is a pressure release valve. Thank you again for watching and I hope this was helpful.

    Got my Fogatti heater. Now I'm looking for parts to do the pressure relief. I got the pressure valve and back pressure fitting off your link at Amazon. Now looking for brass nipple, 3/4" to 1/2" adapter and "T". The brass is freaking expensive. Why does it have to be brass? Will galvanized steel be ok?

  • @TSquadRVing

    @TSquadRVing

    2 ай бұрын

    I know right. There are a lot of 12v dc wire because of the two switches in the panel for when you want to switch on electrical and propane for your old water hwster. We use these wiresto Hook up to new tankless And another to hook up the control panel that I put under the cabinet. (blue wires) but are hooked up near water heater. I hope I explained that right and answered your question. This gives 12 volt power to start water heater and use switch Hope this helped a little.

    Hey. Thank you for this comments and question. Make sure all LP is turned off at the source before disconnecting any LP . Once all hooked up. Turn your LP back on and turn your stove burners on. This will remove all air from the LP. Then you’re good. Hope this was helpful and have fun.

    At the 24min mark at the front is a big red "knob" with some hose below it, is that a temp/pressure release valve? Then would the rear one you installed be redundant and should you think of routing the rear release valve to the front? If the valve opens I would hate to flood my trailer.

  • @TSquadRVing

    @TSquadRVing

    4 ай бұрын

    Thank you for this comment. I believe that is just a water release valve to empty tank when needed. Also. I have thought about routing the pressure release valve to a hole in the floor making sure it has a way to drain until I thought “I will never have to use the pressure release valve” because of that red valve in the front”. I don’t think you would flood your RV unless your water gets to a point where it engages the pressure release valve. You would notice if that ever happens then you turn the water off. But that is a great question. Thank you. Make sure you install a Pressure release valve per instructions.

    I think you’re referring to the pressure valve? If so. If the temperature gets above a certain degree it’s made to engage the pressure valve so the pressure does not build up. My apologies if that’s not what you meant. Thanks for watching.
