You are correct about icing and frost… I keep mine on the lowest setting and it still freezes up like a iceburg. I finally learned that if I turn the whole unit off to go to bed and turn it back on when I get up in the morning it’s on about 16 hours and off about 8 hours. During the night all the ice melts on the fins and it all starts over the next day then I turn it off and it all melts again..rinse and repeat……I think the fans would be great for helping to prevent this freezing as a fan did on my boat many years ago… I was just less lazy about things back then compared to today.. The only upside to the ice is it keeps the beer about 1 degree over freezing in the reefer…👍 That fan looks like a well made solution to a common problem….I may get one and put it in. Thanks….

I ran a battery operated job in my class C this year in the single fridge but not in the freezer. It did ok and you can barely feel the air it moved. The freezer did start icing up on the back wall after 3 weeks, so beings I experimented I’ll upgrade to 12 volt. I also make sure the coach is spot on level for all the obvious reasons we all have to do. Thanks for the video and info on the fans.

Always contact the Mfg when that happens.. a lot of these companies will honor and exchange long after their warranty is over. They just don't have that much money invested in the product so they can afford to do that.

By the way ,if I visit below the equator, do I have to rehook the red wires to the black wires. I heard the electricity runs backward down there.?.

I have had a battery powered fan for at least 30 years. Batterys last about a year. Wish i dad bought two cant find now

Say Mike, when the fins in the fridge ice up does that reduce the cooling ability?

Yes and no.... it's nice to have that ice in there for the time that you don't have power going to your refrigerator and you're traveling but it's definitely not the way it's designed to work.

That should be your new slogan Mike. So that way, when someone comes to you and says, "Mike, I am sorry to say, but my life really sucks." Then you can say, "I have a solution!" 😂 I like fans, you like fans, lets move some air! Ice, we don't need no stinkin ice, well Mike does he eats its in chunks, but I digress. Hopefully the fans make the ice go away. 12:20 Yes Mike, there are a lot of old guys who wish they could go a lot longer as well.
