Once again, just the right info and details thar RVers need on cmpground research. The extra care & time you take to adding video of detailed footage that relates to your wording or descriptions in each sentence of your content...top tier YT producers. I hope others watching realize how valuable that is when researching the topics that you cover. You are wonderful professionals and we are lucky to have you here. 🙂

It's a beautiful place for sure. I lived in Loveland for 20 years so I know it well. Just a few weeks ago we traveled 8 states and stopped at the end of August to spend a week at the Riverview Campground on the 34. Our site backed to the Big Thompson and my granddaughter had a blast there. We have stayed there twice and really love the park and the staff. Of course my husband had not seen Estes so we drove up there one day and he was amazed. We weren't there at the right time to hear the elk bugling but we did have a lot of deer visit just across form our campsite across the river. Have fun and be safe.

We stayed at Elk Meadow in late August and agree with your assessment. We did not explore all of the private campgrounds but, from what we saw, it was as good as any and better than most. We also agreed the scenery from town was as pretty as we've seen and we've vacationed in CO a lot.

Awesome review of the campground. Can't wait to go there. Love your videos! You are really good people. So glad you stuck it out. Relationships are difficult. I've found after 37 years to always have open communication (we write things down to look back on progress), what I like and appreciate and am thankful for and in a loving way what improvements can be made on my side and his. Never take constructive criticism negatively. I love that Paul admits when he made a mistake and learned from it. That is a real man. Hard to find men without those big egos. We have a monthly meeting to discuss our progress and our failures. It helps!

Elk Meadow is wonderful. I have stayed there twice and the key pluses are being so close to both RMNP and Estes Park. They are also very pet friendly. If you are tired and just want to sit at the campsite and chill, your views will be amazing - mountains in the daylight and stars at night.

Our son worked at the YMCA of the Rockies there in Estes Park one summer in college and we went for a visit and loved it! Went on a horseback trail ride there that was phenomenal ! The horses were literally steping up 18" high bolders and we galloped across meadows, ect! Very quaint and beautiful little town. Go over to the Grand Lake side of the mountain to see the Moose as well as the elk you see there in Estes Park. I did see an elk go through the McDonalds drive through also! 🤣🤣

We had to be pulled out. We finally drove out of the snow in Nebraska. The snow was wet and heavy not a light fluffy dry mountain snow.

We haven't found our way out west, some day I hope to. But here in the state that's known as the mitten state there a small town called Manistee, just outside of town there's a state park called Orchard Beach. There's no beach there now due to erosion. The campground is small but filled with mature trees and sits on a bluff. The view of Lake Michigan is priceless. The sunsets are amazing. The town welcomes a slow stroll as you peek through the shop windows. Mom & pop restaurants and bars to fill your belly at. If need be you can take a very short drive to two area Beaches to soak up the sun and to cool off with a dip in the lake. That was our gem find this season. What was a two night stay became six nights. I'll be returning for sure!

This maybe cleared up by now. we were in Estes Park end of July. had checked out Timed Entry Permits for THE PARK. on the Goverment web site, It stated If you are staying in the park, you do not need a Timed Entry Permit. According to the information Center . 10,000 people including us, interpreted that Estes Park is in Rocky National Park. NOT. they were having a tough time with people. Great video.

Whew, I had not heard that but I can understand the confusion. Many people aren't even aware that you can't just drive into RMNP anytime either. BUT the main park is open before 9am and after 3pm to all, so that's very doable. Glad you know the area, it really is special.

I stayed at Estes Park Campground at East Portal last year. Very nice, quiet, etc. but I’d say not for large rigs like you have. I personally hate the parking lot type of campgrounds like where you stayed so I would have definitely passed on that one although it looks great for large rigs. My trailer is 17’ so I’m happy with the smaller, quieter campgrounds. Sometimes there are benefits for being small!
