This is a very good video. I was hoping for more
Well done, I look forward to more videos on this subject.
Clearly explained, and really like the use of the board to give visual.
Very informative and well presented. Thai you.
Thanks for the awesome videos. Do you think that you could do a video on adding a dc to dc charger from the chassis battery to your board. Thanks
This the best video on this subject yet. Well done with the visual board. I do have a question about the inverter/charger .When connecting the inverter to the RV power distribution panel , what do you do with the existing 110v line coming into the power distribution panel. ? My inverter/Charger (Renorgy 2000W) has a built in transfer switch.

Thanks! The existing 110v line coming in to the panel from the shore power cord will run directly to the inverter charger “ac in” terminals. The “ac out” terminals on the inverter charger will then run to the distribution panel. Essentially the inverter charger is wired in line between shore power in and the distribution panel.
I enjoy your videos. They are well done. This may be a dumb question, but does the Victron supply power to the 12V side or does it simply charge the battery and they are the only supply to the 12V circuits?

Thanks! The victron multiplus charges the batteries and they supply 12v to the circuits. But technically the power coming from the multiplus as its charging can go directly to the 12v loads. It does need the batteries to operate though.
Might be a dumb question but; is it OK to use the 12v circuit from the battery whilst charging? Otherwise amazing video series, this has ben tremendously insightful!

Yes, it’s ok to use as normal while charging 👍
Nice videos. Do you commonly use a circuit breaker between the battery and the inverter?

Yes, or a fuse block, decided to leave it out here for the sake of simplicity.
Hoping you pay attention to/see the comments on your videos as I'd like to pick your brain.... I've got an 800W solar with the 1200W inverter under my Jayco NorthPoint 377RLBH 5th wheel. At this time the inverter supplies power to only a few recepts in the coach. Two TVs, bedroom and living room and one next to the master bedroom bed. I want to add the inverter 120 to one more plug on the rig but my ignorance keeps me from performing the task at hand. How is the inverter supplying each of the circuits now? Or better, how to I add the output of the inverter to another breaker in the distribution panel? How is it fed, sort of thing? I am a career motor control/specialty Sparky with absolutely no experience in the solar field, the only part of "Sparkyisms" I hadn't put my screwdriver on.... Any help would be awesome!

Hi, it sounds like your Jayco has a single breaker installation, I have a video covering that: How RV Inverters Should Be Installed: Single Breaker Power Flow Xantrex X2000 Inverter kzread.info/dash/bejne/paGB0Mx9ZterlNI.html You could either tie the circuits together at the output of the circuit breakers, or switch to a whole house type inverter like in this video.

Awesome and thank you@@Cpmobile! I'll check that out! Totally appreciated!
You don't show an earthing cable from inverter, which is sad to see.
You just need a way more efficient electric fridge
