Interesting: That with all those issues on a brand new RV it was deemed "passed"...I would have rejected the sale unless they fixed those isues and re-inspect at dealers cost!

It seems as though they hire non-RVers to do these QC checks at the factory. "Looks good enough" should never be the bar for excellence. "Get em built, get em out, get em sold!"

Part of me is not surprised but part of me is shocked. Me as a consumer is disgusted. I cannot believe any rig would “pass” through the dealership inspection. So sad.

And a lot of them feel they don't have any alternative since they accepted delivery. They rely on manufacturing warranty to solve the problem. Or they tell the buyer " it's within the norms".... the "norms of their quality 🙄 🤔

The dealership doesn't do inspections. They couldn't sell RV's if they did inspections on them like they are supposed to. They would go broke. People need to stop buying this junk.

I have completely given up on even looking at new RVS. They are not made well with so many errors and ill fitting interiors it’s not even funny! Buy a well cared for low mileage used motorhome and if your budget permits customise it for your needs. The RVS are going through a difficult time and they thought they were going to charge whatever they wanted. Times have changed so if they don’t want to face bankruptcy they need to pull their socks up and reduce prices. It’s a turning point…

Its so sad the manufacturing of these pricey units are not more aware or just dont care about the integrity of their products...THEN the dealership doesn't care about their name enough to do a proper inspection hoping the customer doesnt see this till they are down the road....That is job security for y'all and thank goodness you are there❤

Don't care is more the MO of most of them...it's not about your pleasure or experience of their units or services...it's about the amount of units delivered at the end of the month. Believe me, they won't remember your name or unit you purchased from them...

Why would you ever except that coach you are asking for trouble shotty work?

They want to sell it to you they don't care what kind of condition it is as long as they get money and that's why I lot of RV dealerships you got to watch cuz they're really shady RV dealers people have to do their homework you also have to make sure you get an RV inspection on everyone even if it's new

So disappointing on such an expensive coach. Why doesn't the dealership do a pre-delivery checklist when they accept the unit from the manufacturer? I use to work for a large Case IH dealership and our mechanics would go through a checklist of everything when they arrived from the manufacturer. That way any repairs that needed to be made were done, prior to it being put on the yard or delivered to the customer.

I'm with you. But the RV industry have no QC in their objectives ...the end user doesn't " need " the equipment to make a living like for tractors for instance. So customers don't care enough to say no...

For the price of that brand new unit, you'd think it wouldn't have even minor issues (dents, dirty floors, etc).

We have a 23’ Seneca Prestige (same coach) 37k. Everything shown we have experienced with our coach and more. I think the video was great, but I have no clue as to why this was given a “show and go” recommendation. This clearly shows how poorly some of the Enetegra/Jayco units are built.

I had some of the same problems with my Entegra. When I went to took at it, it was filthy. I bought the unit and they said it would be cleaned before I picked it up. I paid $800 for a “protection” package on the paint and interior. When I picked it up, it was still filthy. Did they put the protective product over the dirt or not apply it at all? The dealer took me on the walk thru. As we stepped outside water was pouring out of the hot water heater. The drain plug was never tightened. Service guy tightened the plug. Then I went back inside and water was all over the floor. Water lines were not tightened. First time using the shower, water all over the floor. Shower was not caulked. Quality is horrible on RV’s and the manufacturers and dealers need to be held accountable.

A brand new $360,000 unit and it’s dirty with slides that are out of alignment and the list goes on. What is going on with these dealers? It’s truly sad because it’s all about buying from a reputable dealer who will be there when these things happen. Buyer beware…🤨

The dealership signed off on this unit when it was delivered. I would refuse to sign the dotted line until they knock off more money for the small dent and the radiator.

That's where we get frustrated after seeing some obvious negligence from them...then blame the manufacturer that blinded them with obvious mishaps of their own. But a lot of dealership go blind eye just to get the "BRAND" so they can make more sales...it's all about the 💰 ! Praise inspections and honest dealerships.

@@blueoxontherun9188 we know on our unit there were some issues the dealer didnt catch on their inspection and they had to eat the cost of repair. They were very obvious and should have been caught.

One would wonder with this type junk coming into the dealer and the dealers ,if being called on it, have to do so many repairs, why they don't get more on the manafacturers.

The RV industry is not regulated by DMV. This is why anyone and their brothers can drive a "truck RV", without a CDL endorsement. It's also an economic driver, and a lot of lobbying, avoids a lot of regulations to be implemented. It's all about money, you know!!

It isn't exactly fair to lump ALL dealerships into one boat. IF you do your research before you ever visit a dealer you will save yourself a lot of grief. Patience is critical, as is avoiding making an emotion-based purchase (it's NOT the only unit in the country). For our most recent purchase, we drove 6 hours round trip twice, because we found a no-frills, non-corporate dealer with a great reputation. The price was the best in a 350-mile radius and it was significantly less than all others. The dealer never once pressured us in any way and neither did the finance guy. The second trip up was to pick it up. The shop manager did a very thorough walkthrough of all features and functions in our presence and demonstrated that (and how) everything worked. Our unit was clean though we did wipe everything down before our shakedown cruise. We discovered a leak under the sink on that first trip, but a few screws to remove the access panel and a quick tightening of a line and we were good to go. We will definitely be returning to that dealer (the only one in Linn Creek, MO) for our next upgrade!

You need to publicize those dedicated dealers....I totally agree about your outlook on the negative image of dealerships being generalized ...but the problem is that big Corp dealerships ARE the majority on the market. We've driven one way 982 miles to pick one of our 5th wheel... there are good dealership out there...finding them is the big task and you don't have a second chance making sure they are on your side. Thus the advantage of an inspection to work on your side MHO 🤙

Entegra is not doing any better on the wiper seals accross the top either. I did a 37M 2 days ago and the wiper seal on the streetside front slide was about 1.5in above the roof when slide was extended ! The wiper seal on the super slide on curbside was actually PAINTED and curled up ! It's Ridiculous that the Manufacturer cannot take the time to tape off or cover these rubber components before painting......Every vertical D seal was loose as well and not even attached to the bead of sealant they ran down the side of D seal where it meets the sidewall..

We've had the same issue with a streetside seal. We have a video on this issue. Yet Entegra claimed it was within specs 🙄 meanwhile in the same month, we did two more units, same model, seal working as intended🤔🙃🤨 and sealing as expected 🙂. They are full of s...!

Haven't done one of that model yet and I do not see or believe in any difference from the older versions 🤔 they all have something to say to any Endorsed inspection team. They didn't become flawless all of a sudden. Same workers, different week

That is so crazy to me that stuff like that is considered normal. I can't believe I would see a time when there would be vehicles (in this case RVs) would have less quality than a "K" car from the 70s 🤦‍♂️

I would walk away if I were the buyer. For that amount of money I’d get a used RV that has been gone through and built better. I blame the dealer for being so unscrupulous to sell a unit in that condition. Disgusting.

Sorry if I'm not going to make publicity for one versus the other...for all of them, any publicity is good publicity. We are trying to educate and bring awareness to the public of their future purchase, not "where" to buy or not... As you may know by now, we don't really have friends at any dealerships. They see us more of a threat than an ally 🙂 I don't know why ? 😁

As a person that. Has been in industrial and manufacturing all my working career...this stuff is junk...they no training no process improvement .most of all they are not in business to stay in business....it a boom bust industry and it will soon be on the rocks with the rest....if you have a staple gun and a hot glue gun your hired...ps we know they skimped on the battery wire because of cost....I think a 40 foot container on wheels is the way to go...they don't leak and the doors shut.
