You are delusional if you think David would be controlling over a female. He doesn't do that with his own wife, he sure as heck wouldn't do that to Geo. David appreciates a woman being able to speak her mind and do her own thing. That is why he married Mariel and why they all have been friends for years. David appreciates that nature of their friendship because they all give each other crap.

Every single trip no matter it be national or international, Geo always be cranky and destroying the mood... the vibes aren't good and you can tell David and Ariel are uncomfortable with her because it seems like she'll just pop off at any moment

As Geo mentioned, this is David and Mariel's first RV trip. As Geo also mentioned, sometimes riding in an RV can make a person nauseous. It also happens to be cold in Utah at the time of their trip and they had low lighting, being in the dark. If David and Mariel were uncomfortable it would be for those reasons. They are used to Geo's personality and how she banters with Bart. David is the same way with them. It is the nature of their friendship and why they have been friends for so long.
