    Just a bit of advice I rarely see in RV videos and that's to make sure you have backups. Now, you're camper is small and doesn't have a ton of space but this is essential in my opinion. Here's what I have backups for: service line, water hose, sewer hose. I've run into parks where all 3 were needed at one time or another or in 1 case all 3 were needed on 1 trip. I realized the back up on our very first trip when the fresh water hookup was by the cab and not the pedestal like it is in most parks. Thankfully we were close to home and my father in law ran out an extra water hose.

    That is excellent advice. We have never needed extras of those until our recent trip. The way the site was set up, we had to choose whether we wanted to park the camper close enough for electric or water because of how it was situated. As it was overnight only - we chose electric lol. But - having an extra hose would have been nice! So agree - if you have the room, having that extra length is a good idea. Thanks for the watch!

    Great video guys! On my Jeep Rubi, I have mounted black abs 4" Dia tubing with one end glued and the other not but closed with screw on cap. Where you mounted the carpet hangers was where I was going to put the brooms ( collapsible) , then another mounted for fishing poles and ham radio antenna. But I am going to use your idea for the same thing you did it for. Hopefully 28 more days and I get mine. Thank you again for the video and I can't wait to see your guys thoughts on solar generators. I think I'm going that route instead of portable gas running generator . Have a wonderful week guys!

    Evening Leo! Thanks for watching! Those are great ideas especially for the fishing poles and we may have to think about that broom idea - thanks! We actually bought some 4" tubing to use for the rug but unfortunately it was just a bit too big rolled up to fit. Then we thought of just using the plumbing straps and it looks to work. Hope the next 28 days go fast and you are out on the road soon! Have a great week.

    We don't have a 30 amp from 110 adapter. We need to get one of those for moochdocking. You and Bill would get along great. You and he must have been in boy scouts together. LOL. We've been pretty lucky. Bill's been able to fix everything that's gone wrong in the camper and RV. Hope we continue to be able to do that. Sounds like you can fix just about anything too. Really like your slide out for your trash cans and screwing the bottom down. Great idea. Safe travels. Bill and DeAnna

Because it was older, we couldn’t find any information on line so much of our learning was trial and error! But, we watched ALOT of KZread and researched and read articles online. But, if you have RV shows near you - they will have free seminars (typically with admission)- usually around 30 mins each where they will cover a variety of topics. Hope that helps!

So, I double checked tonight as we just returned from a 3000 mile trip over some rough north eastern roads! Looks like everything held up fine but I do only have a rug hanging in them. I have also found that regular screws have been working fine to hold the paneling up in the storage bay. But I think the first thing that I would try if mine do start to loosen is loctite. Does having a drinking water safe hose really make a difference or is that hype? (I noticed you don't have that kind.) Also, I noticed the connection size of both hoses is different. Are those specific? (We are picking up our new E-Pro trailer this month, so I'm shopping like crazy.)

  • @WinesPinesandCanines

    @WinesPinesandCanines

    Congrats on the new camper! For the hoses - when we started camping a number of years ago we did have the standard white hose for drinking water but then stumbled upon the Zero G hoses. They just take up much less room. The blue one we do use for the fresh water and it is labeled as safe for drinking water. But - we don’t drink from the tap (city or tank) but bring bottled water. And we do have an outside and inside filter as well. The other zero g hose is a gray one and that is used for the black tank flush. They both have the same connection but I may have had the water pressure reducer still on the one (campground water pressure can be strong). If you search “camco water pressure regulator” on Amazon, it should be about $10. Some come with a gauge but are a bit more expensive. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

    Hi great videos!!! I got a question for you though. I have been following you and decided to get a Geo Pro19fd? On the front of the trailer on the driver's side there is an obnoxious white light that is on 24/7 on mine. Would you happen to have this problem with yours?

  • @WinesPinesandCanines

    @WinesPinesandCanines

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi! Thanks for watching - appreciate it! The 19FD is another very popular model online - we have seen a lot of mods online for it as well. How are you liking it so far? For the light - we don’t have any lights that are on 24/7 but when you say drivers side - do you mean the side of the camper or the drivers side on the front of the camper? If you want to take a picture and email it to us at winespinescanines@gmail.com, we will take a look and see if the light is also on our camper and if we know how to turn off.

    Hi! Amazon - I added it to the description. It comes in different colors and it is 4x6. Not huge but a nice size to go under the steps and give a nice stepping off area. Thanks for watching!

    So the ones in this video were Coleman Patio Sling ones. We had them for almost 5 years before one of them broke (the bolt on one of the legs went and we weren't able to easily fix). The other we still have. But, we ended up replacing them with the GCI Rockers that we saw at an RV show. Thank you for watching!

    Hi! This is the one we use (bought from Amazon) - Progressive Industries 30 Amp Portable RV Smart Surge Protector - SSP-30X. It’s not the most expensive but has saved us quite a few times at campgrounds by alerting us to an issue with the pedestals. Thanks for watching!

    It's a trailer not a "camper." (a camper sits in a truck bed) Good info however...
