I am from the United States. I have to read captions to follow the dialogue. The acting in this series is stellar. Even with me being from a different culture and language the emotions of the characters still come through. I am so impressed with these actors.

Eunuch Li showed true love for Suoxin. Even when he couldn't have her, he wished her happiness. My heart breaks for him. He is such a good man even when he lost the woman he loves. 💔

The series is great in depicting different kinds of love.

That gold deal on Suoxin's head is soooo stunning. I'm glad they got married. It's like Ruyi gave her daughter in marriage. So sweet❤❤❤❤j This is what Ruyi wanted for A'Rou & Yanwan. But no, those greedy, ungrateful whores wanted to be Empress so they betrayed Ruyi.

Pity Consort Shu didn't share her drawings with the emperor. If she had, she might have gotten the attention she wanted from him. She was unsuitable for harem life. She was too shy and satisfied by scraps. She couldn't even get angry and tell him off when she found out what he had done to her.

I have watched this video several times and the Ruyi and in this scene she exude elegant empress honoring her faithful friend and maid.
