In Ruth's Life Before Loose, she shared the fascinating story of her army childhood, moving from Singapore (where she was born) to the UK, Libya to London and beyond with her mother and father. Ruth reflects on her happy memories of family life and told us tales of her boarding school antics.
She also confessed to messing up her exams and becoming quite a "directionless" teenager before a chance meeting in a pub kick-started her career in television. As well as all this, she had quite the story to tell about her very first meeting with a certain Irish TV presenter, Mr Eamonn Holmes.

I feel for poor Brenda in this interview - that screeching parrot (Janet Street Porter) didn't want to let anyone else speak especially Brenda and talked over Ruth and Jane as well - a very interesting interview spoilt by her !!!

Well thats amazing considering he split from Gabrielle in 1996 but was only introduced to Ruth in 1997 by his friend Sally Meen. So They had been having an affair before they even met by your reckoning?

How was she? She asked like 5 questions and was quiet most the time plus she's on video call so delayed reaction, her name is Brenda Edwards 😂😂btw i also I think you mean Janet Street Porter keeps interrupting every 5 seconds with millions of comments and thousands of questions 😅😅Jane also asked 100s of annoying stuff 🙄
