LYRICS:
Bear with me
I don’t know how this goes
Used to know how to sew
But I lost the thread
Anchor me
I don’t know where I am
Trying to learn how to stand
Waves to my head
Am I running from the future or the past
Or somebody I could never be
Am I drowning or holding too tight to the mast
Or maybe I’m already free
Forgive me
I don’t know what I’m saying
I’ve been hiding these changes
In me
I’m trying here
But I’m heavy and I’m haunted
Scared I’m not who I wanted
To be
Am I running from the future or the past
Or somebody I could never be
Am I drowning or holding too tight to the mast
Or maybe I’m already free
If I go will you find me
How will I know, will you remind me
Gonna put this trouble behind me
Bear with me
I don’t know how this goes
Used to know how to sew
But I lost the thread

This beautiful singer tells us in her song Already Free that she lost her thread. Well, I think that her new album Wanderer is another step up in her career. Musically speaking she has not lost any thread. I still remember her unforgettable collaboration with Mark Knopfler singing Wherever I Go. Her albums The Garden and These Wilder Things are also remarkable. Go on Ruth admiring us with your music ...and your beauty.
My favorite female voice in all of contemporary music. Beautiful!
Thank you Ruth for this wonderful song and for your new album and for me it is very desired. Please continue singing and composing, your music makes me happy when I listen to it. We look forward to your concert in Madrid, Spain, it would be wonderful to hear you live.
Fabulous! ❤
What a beautiful voice and song. By the third line it inspired a new song I’m working out, seems like one of my better ones and a departure from the usual. Thank you so much for the inspiration 🙏🙏🙏
Another wonderful song, another gift. Please come back to Vancouver BC and Bellingham WA to give us more of your memorable music! We love you❤
Hope Halifax is on the tour! Amazing work (as always!)
Love!❤
Ruth you never dissapoint. Blessings to you. It is a dream of mine to sing with you and or the Jennys some day. 😂❤

Magnifique!
haven't heard you before, had a listen to the Wanderer version, I prefer this... more intimate... I will have a listen to more of your stuff
Super voce Ruth❤❤😊

nice
❤❤❤❤❤❤ 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Love this! But as a gear geek, the first thing that caught my attention was how you placed the mics for your guitar. I think I'll try that myself.
I've seen the "Jennies" twice. When are you going to do a solo show in Durango?
Hey Ruth! Great to see you making music again! I love the song. You’ve grown! Btw, I was the guy who gave you flowers after your concert in Wisconsin around 2015. I resonated so much with your music then as I was going through a painful divorce as well. I just had to ask you out! I hope all is well with you as you continue to let go and allow your life to unfold! With love and support to you! Keep making music and telling your truth. ❤
OMG So transcendent. Now what tuning is she using?
Yup, got the Joni Mitchell tuning thing going on.
Beautiful!
