Hello Gavin, I say hello from MEXICO City, I am your fan number one.

If I recall correctly, during the rehearsals for this performance, she didn't have her hair wet, and the press and the most hardcore Eurovision fans that follow that rehearsal week of Eurovision kept saying it hindered the performance, because it was jarring that it looked like it was raining all around her and she looked completely dry. It just broke the illusion. So, her team listened to those "complaints" and decided to have her hair wet for the real televised performance. It was the right call, I feel. You definitely should react to more Eurovision performances. There's a very good list already in one of the comments here, you should start with those. Some are truly spectacular.

I'd suggest Austria and the Netherlands from that same year, 2014, they came 1st and 2nd in the competition: Rise Like a Phoenix by Conchita Wurst and Calm After the Storm by The Common Linnets (be sure to check their live performances in the Eurovision final!)

Hi! Some facts about the selection process. It is up to each country the way they chose its representative. Some years Spain has selected among several artists and other years an intenal selection. Sweden for example has its own contest called Melodifestivalen and it is as big as Eurovision, in my opinion the most important national selection. Spain has sent great acts in past years but it seems they have been punished by the voting most of the times. I see you have reacted to Pastora (2012) and Ruth (2014). Maybe you should start to react to other countries from those years in order to compare and see why they got those final places. Sweden 2012, "Euphoria" by Loreen won in 2012 and it is a good way to start reacting. Austria 2014, "Rise like a phoenix" by Conchita Wurst can be also a good one. (This act won in 2014)
