My girlfriend and I broke up a few moths ago. Were living together for 5 years. This song made me cry a lot because I could really recognize a lot. My work was destroying my physical and mental health and she couldn't take it anymore to see that. It was too painful for her, and I didnt have enough space in my mind for our relationship. She carried my weight far too long, and I made her everything and nothing. Our breakup destroyed me, but I'm slowly getting back to my old self.

I find comfort in this song. I just broke up last December with my about-to-be fiancé. I loved her with all my heart, but she smashed and destroyed every piece of it. And yet, I still want to hug her every night to let her know she's never alone. I had to toss the ring in my pocket to pickup a version of who I meant to be. I wish I didn't have to leave. I used to think no one understands me. But you two proved me wrong. Thank you. You two are amazing.

Dean Lewis’s song “Be Alright” got me through my break up. This song I just found because of your TikTok and I was okay, I was okay until I read your description of the chorus on Genius: “The hope that you may find some healing/comfort in my music is why I write. I hope you find that in this song and know that the journey to self discovery, love peace, joy - though it may be painful - will be so worth it.” That broke me and I finally pulled over and cried because of this. I’ve started therapy and everything is constantly coming up and so much pain but so much healing is happening at the same time.

Did a little fan rewrite for myself about a girl who left me to chase her dreams, and I helped her get the opportunity to do so bc she was more important to me than us.. This song came out just 2 days before her leave so I (very softly) rewrote it and sang it for her on her goodbye meetup, here's the (slightly) revised chorus; "Even though I love you I know you have to leave I guess I have to lose you for you to reach all your dreams They say that time heals all wounds But I know this one won't heal I hope that you reach all your dreams and make it without me".. We cried that whole night, it was so rough for both of us and for me it still is 6 months later, don't know if it still is for her too. I recently did a bigger rewrite of the chorus for myself; "6 months since I lost you Your name still cuts me deep Can't find that part of me I gave to you and now I'm weak 'Cause they say "love will find you" But now I still can't love for real I guess that part of me you took away still haven't healed" Sorry for the extremely long comment, I really love and appreciate your song and it's now an integral part of me and my life's story. Thank you so much❤❤
