What an expression. Love Sukhvinder Singh's voice.

Aamir was terrific in this movie. They way he portrays the nuances of ice candy man was another level. Such films were rare back in 1999 and performances were underappreciated

I saw in one interview Jagith singh questioning Rahman's Talent. Most Ghazal Singers have 10 or 15 songs in their arsnel and they keep repeating them in a loop for life ime, where as film music directors have much more difficult task, They have to make music to meet the content and context o the story, it is the same guy who created this and Papu cant dance, or listen to songs from water, the range is out of the ball park.

even the music director have the same 7 notes to play with,beneth and beyond which frequencyz neither he himself nor us can comprehend. Gazal has its own flavour and a domain by itself. as said by you, love song thats wat the director says, with just 7 they make innumerable melodies. both have done justice to what they were ought to do. so dont compare. if jagjeet a musician has to say that abt Mr.Rehman it is his view so does Ismail Darbar, who said MrRehman bought the academy award. let anybody say anything abt somebody. why bother listen to what you body wishes to. dus gaane rehman ji ka sun lo, baath mein jagjit ji ka ek sun lo, kya farak padtha hai. we r just consumers. with their virtue, they have earned money and fame. we aare just opinion givers in utube, its our domain...z😆

There is something magical about this song. I cant quite describe it but when I listen to this I feel I am in another world. I remember reading the book that this film was based on: Ice candy man by bapsi sidwa, the casting of Nandita is spot on she looks exactly as described in the book.

This song is a dream which hardly anyone lives in this ultra-modern n busy world...I wish someone sang such a song for me someday ☺☺

Nandita very impressed in this movie with natural indian beauty....... superb nandita

Absolute gem of a song. I never heard a song creating ambience better than this song. Whenever I listen to this song , it takes me to the days when we as kids used to fly kites and run after kites in spring season. Rehman at his magical best, and he intriduced another legend to us : Sukhwinder Singh. Such an amazing voice he had. 90s Bolly music was at absolute peak. Every singer had his original voice and signature style. Now only its difficult to differentiate the singers !!!

Nandita daas is looking gracious.... And sukhwinder is great....

They can't, A R Rehman songs cannot be recreated or remix as they are out of those artists capabilities to even touch them.
