Rusty Young (of Poco) - Crazy Love - OFFICIAL VIDEO

Музыка

Available now on iTunes/Amazon/Spotify etc: smarturl.it/RustyYoung_CL
A host of Blue Élan label-mates joined Rusty Young at Clear Lake Studios last December, following a label holiday celebration. Chelsea Williams, Cindy Alexander, Lisa Lambe, Scout Durwood, Brie Darling, and Gina Sicilia sang the chorus with Young as well as label friends, Ali Handal, Paul Trudeau, and Simon Morgan.
“Our motto at Blue Élan is that it’s about the Artist, it’s about the Music. It’s about Collaboration,” said Blue Élan co-founder Kirk Pasich. “With that in mind, I approached Rusty during our holiday party last year about recording a new version of ‘Crazy Love’, as a collaboration with several label mates and friends of the label. We had the studio at Clear Lake blocked out the next day, and invited whoever was in town to stop by and contribute. The turnout was great and with the help of producer Dave Darling, they knocked it out in under an hour.” It was one of those magical moments - and I love how it turned out.”
“I was thrilled when Kirk approached me about doing a new version of ‘Crazy Love’,” added Rusty. “We had a blast in the studio and it was a memorable experience to see so much talent joining together on a song that changed my life. I hope people enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed doing it.”

Kevin & I are stunned. It’s saw Poco at Iroquois Ampitheater in Louisville Ky on their Poco 7 tour. KEVIN HAS BOTH THE POCO HORSESHOE & Running Horse tattooed on his rib cage. ( how many groups have 2 badass logos?) WEVE prob seen Poco 7 or 8 times since last LP came out in 2013, I believe. And a strong case can be made that maybe this was the best Poco LP. WE LAST SAW THEM OCT 2019 in St Charles Mo., I believe. WE ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO Thanksgiving cause we knew Rusty would always have a POCO CONCERT AROUND THAT TIME. WEVE DRIVEN AS FAR AS 5 hrs to see the band, so we still have those memories. We would like to offer our sincerest condolences to Mary & the family. I FORGOT TO MENTION HOW OUTSTANDING RUSTYS SOLO ALBUM WAS. IM GLAD HE HAD A CHANCE TO RECORD IT AND SHARE IT WITH ALL OF US. THIS REALLY HURTS. RIP Rusty: YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE IN A LOT OF LIVES AND CHANGED THE COURSE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. Our hearts are broken tonite😢

Sad that he is gone. I'm the same age, actually a little older. If I had any talent at all I would have been gone long ago, glad I didn't. The life of a performing musician is a hard one - just brutal on the body, and mind as well. They give, we receive. We can be thankful.

I just absolutely love this recording. Kirk, thanks so much for posting it. It is so cool to see a performer who has been central to the music I love for my entire life (Rusty Young) performing one of my favorite songs with so many contemporary musicians that I love (Cindy Alexander, Crazy rocker chick Ali Handel, Dave's wife - the incredible Brie Darling, Scout, and I think that's Paul Trudeau hanging out in the back). I think I recognize a few of the others, but I'm just not sure. Could someone please post some credits here so I have some new musicians to check out?
