According to an article I found The Beverly Hillbillies came from Missouri. “In the pilot episode, the narrator at one point says, "Let's take them back to their home in the Ozarks and see how this whole thing got started." Series creator Paul Henning was, in fact, from Missouri in real life. The state contains much of the Ozark Mountains, so it makes sense that Henning gave the titular family members a similar origin to his own.”

The Monster Garage show was about making custom vehicles that usually had some hidden gimic. The car in the collection is the lawn mower car. The fold out mechanisms on the doors are reel mowers.

You know, you were actually AT the hometown of the Beverly Hillbillies just a couple weeks ago. It's Silver Dollar City. Paul Hennings (creator of that show, Green Acres, & Petticoat Junction) was from around this area...They filmed five episodes at the park for the story arc of the hillbillies going back home to visit. To this day the car from the show resides here, at the Ralph Foster museum!

Doctor Who dates to the 1960s, but modern Doctor Who started in 2005. If you wanted to get caught up, just start there. There are currently 196 episodes. They only release a few each season and don't have a new season every year. Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man was a really good action movie. Mickey Rourke played Harley Davidson and Don Johnson played Marlboro Man. Yes, that was their character names.

I've been wanting to get to that museum to see the Lawn Mower car from the show Monster Garage.

I think the Hillbilly’s were from “Bugtussle” Tennessee.

I used to get such a kick out of Kit the car . It was such a novel when it came out and not too long after cars started to remind you that a door was open etc. That was a great tour of that museum . Impressive what one person can build. That sculpture was impressive. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤

The Clampetts were from Arkansas. Granny was born in the smokey mountains and Jed and the rest were from Arkansas in the Ozarks. They spent some time in Silver Dollar City in one of the episodes.

Memphis: Not sure if you’ve been to the Crystal Shrine Grotto or not?! Deff worthwhile! Center of Southern Folklore rules…it used to have an exhibition on Graceland Too that was pretty majestic. Maybe stop by Goner Records for some ideas? They are solid folks (and they had a coin op Elvis impersonator shrine that ruled for years). Eat at Paynes BBQ!! Best chopped pork Sammy served in an abandoned transmission shop you’ll ever have…

The RV was not the actual RV that was used in the movie, Christmas Vacation. However, the actual RV does exist and someone in Medina, Ohio has it! It was found on another You Tube recently. But, this is a lot of fun! I'd love to see this stuff! Looks like some neat things!

Christine is one of my favorite horror movies and one of my favorite books I've read! The premise is indeed ridiculous, but both the movie and the book take themselves surprisingly seriously. The book can get downright brutal and the chases in the movie are really well done. Both do a great job of making the car feel like a regular slasher with its own personality and motives. And the movie has great effects (all practical, they wrecked so many cars for that movie) and music. It's also directed by John Carpenter

Don't go to Branson in January. I made that mistake once. Nearly everything is closed down. Restaurants, hotels, attractions, etc. It's like that until March, when Silver Dollar City reopens.

The Real Ghostbusters cartoon actually has an episode explaining the changes made for the cartoon, such as the new jumpsuits and Slimer being part of the team called Citizen Ghost. A lot of the episodes from the syndicated package and the first ABC seaso were written by J. Michael Stryzinski.
