It's an airgun. For around $100.00 you can get a new one. Not worth the bother. A real SAA in that shape would be worth it.

Those things are basically new, that is an intentional rust job slapped on it

Looks surprisingly much like an umarex single action army airgun replica. Probably less than a year or two old. I wonder if it aged naturally xD

LOL good catch on the screws! Looks like they just wiped it down with vinegar then dumped it in a salt water bath for a couple weeks outside. Kinda lame, but its easy views and easy ad revenue I guess. Not even a real gun so its a low upfront investment. 1mill views earned him easily a cool $10K. I respect the hustle.

A zmak gun doesn't rust. It will corrode and you can see the whitish corrosion under the rust colored paint.

@@stealth916 I call bullshit too. I've taken apart a lot of rusty guns, toys, airguns and real ones. Springs and screws had no rust, screws came out way too easily. It's not a project if you don't have to drill out at least one rusty old screw.

@@AzureSetsunai4345 It most certainly is fake. Zamak doesn't rust. It will corrode though, but the corrosion is white. It will literally pit as the pot metal turns to white dust.

Btw how did you put the rust cover onto the pistol ?

Sometimes, it's interesting to see the old-timer guns turn out to become as good as new. Even though suppressors don't work with revolvers.

Exactly, 100000% fake. This is an umarex colt peacemaker co2 air pistol, made of die cast pot metal ( most likely Zamak like Hotwheels) and that does not rust. He most likely coated it with those iron oxide powders model makers use and a chemical to rust those powders. I saw one video however where all the supposed rust was brown sugar and cinnamon, with the contrast on the thumbnail picture turned way up.

I had one of these. It lasted for about 200 shots and my gunmaker refused to repair it as it's a load of crapola.

Not well done or in any way an excellent job, this whole video is 100000% fake. The die cast umarex air pistol in this video cannot rust like this because it's made of Zamak pot metal. That rust is all 1000% fake.

Single action Colt 44 must be one of the most beautiful things ever made.

That's because it was all fake. This is an umarex co2 air pistol, made of die cast Zamak pot metal which does not rust. He coated it with iron oxide powders used in model making and sprayed that with a rusting solution.

That's three minutes that I never get back.

No it is not well done, everything about this was 10000% fake. This idiot is a liar and a charlatan. This air pistol is made of die cast Zamak ( pot metal, same stuff used for Hotwheels) and cannot rust. Even if it could rust, these umarex colt peacemaker air pistols have not been around long enough for one of these to possibly get in this condition if they could rust. They've been on the market 6 years at the most.

No , there was no restoration and every bit of it was fake. The rust was 100% fake. This is an umarex air pistol which is made of die cast Zamak " pot metal " it cannot rust.

Pb blaster is the best bet for breaking down rust

@@TylerSnyder305 fair enough Lot of channels have a bad habit of embellish their work by covering the object with mud, paint or fake rust. I haven't ever handled an object of this type before so i can't tell if these are made of zamak. I thought airguns are made of cheap soft steel

Looks like an Umarex/Colt SAA? They can be had in smoothbore BB/cartridge or .177cal pellet cartridge shooters. The pellet version has a rifled inner barrel. I have 3 that use 12g Co2 capsules. Including one in a Maple display case copied from the prop pistols used in John Wayne's The Shootist final scene where Ron Howard throws away the copy of the fancier engraved pistols, which JW actually owned. Mine is numbered 333 of 600 produced. The other 2 are nickel plated and I made them to look like the ones JB Books actually carried in the novel by Glendon Swarthout.

i have this bb gun and it sticks to reassemble.

Air Soft or true J.W. Sidearm, he did a good job showing his restoration skills & patience in the strip down etc. I’d have given up trying those screws & my pet pain the damn springs. 👍🏻
