@@shoken4421 I honestly feel embarrassed for you. You sound like such a sword poser. Seriously, go back and read everything you said out loud. That is some embarrassing shit. "I own two Katanas and two practice ones so that makes me an expert! And since you don't buy into the mysticism of the katana and it's meaning, you don't know anything" First off, bold assumption to make of anyone especially off of two comments. Second, I know full well about the meaning thing. Problem is: It's mostly bullshit. *To me at least.* It's fully locked into the culture of the blade. The deification of katanas is pretty fucking foreign to anyone that's not from Japan or people who've heavily invested into aspects of it's culture as you seem to have. So tone down the condscending BS, stop assuming people aren't as invested as you in something are ignorant and finally, don't declare "End of discussion" on a public forum. It's basically declaring that you can't back your shit up so you're trying to shut discussion down before people question your BS. and it practically begs for a challenge from contrarians like me.

That was an Imperial Japanese not commissioned officers sword. And you have virtually destroyed it. I would have used 2000 grit sandpaper to start with an attempt at poli. And I would not have drilled out the whatever was holding. It together will eventually come loose enough With a little heat on the handle since it was bronze or brass. Nine commissioned officers swords that survived the war are very rare these days

This type of sword was mass produced in the Second World War, the cape was made of metal just like that one.

He fought so hard to get it off. Great opportunity for a wooden handle with cloth wrap. Nah, on it goes again.

With the handle you could have melted some brass or copper and filled it then tap the sword with that filling it with plastic makes it less authentic at least drill it out and put pegs in make it authentic

Quick question, the handle of the Katana is made out of copper? If it is not, then this video is fake
