Looks like a lot of tedious work, but the payoff is amazing.

I had no idea that vinegar and salt would remove surface rust so thoroughly. The finished sign looks just amazing! Kudos on the great job.

Yes it’s work, I watched some videos before I did it. However, it was not as good as their videos showing the rust could come off on its own and it must be sanded with an iron brush. Thank you very much for your compliment and comment!!!👍👍🎉🍻😄

Awesome job! The end result is amazing, but getting there - from the extremely rusty beginning, took a lot of work. I would hate to guess how many hours that would have taken a pro such as you to do.

Yes, it was long process of the removing powder on the convex surface of the metal, it took my a lot of patience, I even coated it twice, because of my fingers were little shaking, the powder on the surface was destroyed. Thank you for your compliment and comment!!!👍👍🎉🍻😄

Curious. Why place in vinegar and then sand blast? Why not just sand blast without the vinegar? Looks great by the way.

Question: why, after using the high temp masking tape, didn't you just cut out the letters with the exacto knife (instead of removing it entirely) and leave the tape on the background in order to apply the powder white only to the letters?

Love the finished project but holy crap, I would've painted it a different way. Power painting this that many times to remove most of the powder was ridiculous.
