He may as well have committed the crime that was asked of him. Voting for him again is approval of any further criminal activity that he knows damn well the donald will commit in the future, if elected. It's not just your oath that matters, it is your own character, integrity, and moral judgment that follows you OUTSIDE the office.

That's the result of the 2 party system of the USA. A Democrat is unvotable for many conservatives as it is the other way around. That leaves them no choice anymore. Imagine the damage Trump could have done in 4 years if he would have actually worked on changing things instead of improving his golf. He could have changed the US far over his 4 years. That's what he fears a Democrat could do to too. Many Democrats also think "rather a bad Democrat than a Republican". These thoughts are understandable. The actual problem is the 2 party system that leaves most voters without a real choice after the primary. They only can vote for their candidate. The american election is decided by the minority, the independents. Would America have multiple big parties, like many other countries, the voters all would still have a choice if one party is unvotable for them. The other advantage of a multiple party system is that a party is very, very unlikely to have the president and both houses. They won't even have one so they have to compromise and can't just push through everything or block everything.

There is a separate code of laws for rich people than there are for poor people. Rich people have money to pay people off to change their opinions. Poor people do not. Rich people can afford persuasive lawyers that know how to use the many loopholes in the judicial system, while poor people can't. Rich people are able to use their wealth, power, and influence in order to negotiate deals with everyone involved in the judicial process in order to lessen the severity of their sentencing. Judges are more likely to favor gentle interpretations of the law when their personal livelihood is on the line, or when they face personal risk. A poor criminal poses no risk or perk to anyone involved in the judicial process, and thus has no bargaining power.

Humm ? Considering revelations coming from political hierarchy in Arizona the past week , Rusty may have had fear from the Rinos and said what Shiff wanted him to say , but his fear was not from Trump and Guiliani. The actual facts are starting to come out . Yes Trump votes were stolen in Arizona , then they were stolen from Kari Lake. A great many Trump votes were stolen in Georgia. Those who were guilty have been arrested with all the proof of what they did , exactly who was involved. Exactly how many votes were stolen. Each state that took Trump votes and credited them to Biden , is being cleansed with proof and the guilty are not going to get away with what they did. Believe it or refuse to believe it. The facts are the facts. The evidence is very secure.

If anybody here is really interested in honesty, get rid of mail-in ballots. When you do this you also get rid of ballot box stuffing and other voting crimes. Mail-in ballots is the worst crime this nation has ever had to endure. Get rid of voting machines. As a computer science professional, I know how easy it is to change one line of code to make any election go the way you want it. All voters need to have proof of citizenship before being allowed to vote in any election.

Oh, making it harder for people to vote is Democratic? Maybe you could have voting on a Saturday from 8am until 8pm and give everybody a fair go at getting to vote. Maybe you could have early voting for some who will not be near their home. Maybe you could have absentee voting where someone is travelling and they can vote in another county. Maybe you could have easy, clear registration via an independent election body who manages all aspects of voting. Maybe mail in votes can be used for the sick, elderly, disabled, and those who are away overseas, not just the military. Maybe The USA whole voting system needs an overhaul and taken out of the hands of partisan politicians and wealthy donors.

It’s pretty apparent the document case will so everything has to wait for the Supreme Court to decide the inmunity defense. This is what trump does. Anything and everything to delay till after elections or as close as possible so even if he’s found guilty sentencing won’t be till next year and if he’s voted in it’s a done deal it all goes away.

HOW is that proof of Trump asking him to commit a crime??? By the way…..there IS such a legal process in MY state….and my state is not the only one….so….again, I ask…..how is it a crime to ask someone to pursue a course of action that is believed to be LEGAL??

Why did 61 federal judges (a bunch Rethug and some of those appointed by Fucko) throw out every single voter fraud case brought before them? If you cannot provide the names I asked for or answer the last question, kindly fuck off.

Neither of these apply to Trump. And Trump was told numerous times by various stories it was not legal. Trump was told it was not a legal process by the Whitehouse lawyer. He told him he better get a damn good attorney. See Jan 6 hearing testimony.

Recall how folks get into cult mindsets; isolation, exhaustion and brainwashing, punishment and torture by handlers, so in order to de-brainwash them, you have to provide " reminders of the world beyond it [the cult] by calling, emailing, writing letters, sending photographs" and maybe even visiting, if strong enough to avoid getting lured into the cult. In my mind, it's super-important to communication to ensure access to broadband frequencies. I know that the little town in the West Coast, where there were mostly farmers and loggers, access that poor people have to information is limited by access only to AM radio, late night cult leader programs, and lack of access to intelligent and experienced people, and these are the folks that resisted COVID-19 preventative measures..

A quote by John Locke, one of the architects of the philosophical principles of American governance. A slightly longer quote can be found in Section 202 of Chap. XVIII “Of Tyranny” in Book II of the "Two Treatises of Government": "Where-ever law ends, tyranny begins, if the law be transgressed to another’s harm; and whosoever in authority exceeds the power given him by the law, and makes use of the force he has under his command, to compass that upon the subject, which the law allows not, ceases in that to be a magistrate; and, acting without authority, may be opposed, as any other man, who by force invades the right of another. This is acknowledged in subordinate magistrates. He that hath authority to seize my person in the street, may be opposed as a thief and a robber, if he endeavours to break into my house to execute a writ, notwithstanding that I know he has such a warrant, and such a legal authority, as will impower him to arrest me abroad. And why this should not hold in the highest, as well as in the most inferior magistrate, I would gladly be informed."

George Washington's 1796 farewell address speaks of a need to avoid party loyalty above the interests of a nation. He forewarned of people like trump and his party first threat to the unity of our country. Worth a read as we now face the very threats from partisanship and loyalty to one man as being considered more important than the rule of law, our constitution, or a unified state. The tyranny and despotism of self imposed ignorance could be avoided with education that is available for free, but so called maga "patriots" will claim George Washington is woke or something ridiculous (or even claim he would somehow support trump) and simply not have the self awareness to see themselves as the very type of threat that Washington wrote about back then. To truly put America first, people must put trump second, third, or in prison if the legal system proves it neccessary by the evidence and jury(ies). Maga is an unnecessary block to actually allowing America to be great, which it does by itself when the majority's voice is heard and the rule of law, constitution, and will of the people is followed because when free of the self imposed ignorance, bigotry, disinformation, foreign adversary propaganda or cult idolatry and celebrity worship of groups like maga or usurpers like trump, America is self correcting. Trump is an anchor of lies dragging across the seafloor, trying to keep our nation from freedom and prosperity of truth. He's willing to drag down the whole ship to the bottom of despair for a chance at immunity and to protect his image and ego which he has proven is his most important concern outside of legal immunity. More Republicans like Rusty Bowers need to force the question and make Americans think about how far they willing to go into unconstitutional, illegal, or unethical territory in order to stay loyal to a celebrity politician who has long since sold out the country. He doesn't have the majority of the electorate and already attempted to lie his way into a second term with dire consequences. When will his supporters finally realize there has to be line like the Rubicon, and he crossed it long ago.

They're protected by wealthy conservatives, like the Mercer family, Wilks brothers, Koch family, the Murdoch corporate media empire, and corrupt lobbyists from groups like megachurches and the NRA. Not to mention, our Supreme Court has conservative members that have been bought and paid for with "undisclosed gifts." I know it sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory, but it's an actual conspiracy with verifiable paper trails. It's kind of like the corruption in Canada's telecommunications industry, only magnified.

Pennsylvania actually had a full posting of a voter listing from the election. I actually took the time and researched the names on there. I found dates of birth from 1800s and over 105 years old in a huge amount. Also found dead people and people of addresses that didn’t exist and so many other issues. I researched line by line and each individual. The list was about 25000 names. They pulled it off the website. Why? Why did they pull the list? My own voting precinct that I’d been going to for years decided to pull the person that checks out the voters the one that when you submit your vote you give the person your name address they check you off and then you put your vote in the machine they decided to remove that person cause of “Covid” But they left the person that hands out I voted stickers. Why??? I called and wrote my congressman, senators, the Massachusetts secretary of state and no response. No one would give me a straight answer.

Technically, they need to rule that each State gets to make up it's own mind, as is the established process in our Republic. States have the last say as to who can be on a ballot and who gets nominated for a Federal position (including the President) to represent them. The most the USSC is going to do it say, "Not our problem", which will let ruling like Colorado's stand. Once that happens, a limited number of other states will follow suit. Haley then needs to make an argument that DJT CANNOT gain enough electoral votes to win and therefore she should be the nominee. However, none of this will stop people want to waste a write-in vote for DJT in states that ultimately ban him from being their elected representative; that's their right to do that. They can even protest and use their free speech to rant about it, but the law is the law. This is going to end up being way more boring than people think.

    1. Most defendants can't afford defense attorneys _on retainer_ (that's way more expensive than a public defender you get while in police custody, or a pro bono lawyer). Even though all the reputable attorneys have turned down Donald, he can still afford representation well in advance of any motion to detain him, at least until he stiffs the legal team. 2. DOJ knows that demanding detention until the trial will only escalate MAGA threats on courts who don't have the resources to defend themselves against Jan 6 mobs. It's one thing if a judge throws Donald in jail for contempt, it's quite another to effectively make him a martyr before the trial. 3. The trials, in spite of Donald's efforts to delay them, are proceeding quickly because his attorneys are incompetent and consistently fail to conduct themselves professionally in court (which usually is a huge turn-off for appellate judges). He failed to get a jury trial (cheap delay tactic) for the New York fraud case, he failed to delay the federal trial for the E Jean Carroll case, he's not going to have much luck delaying judge Chutkin's courtroom using a bogus immunity defense. It is easy to blame Garland or Smith or whomever because former prosecutors on CNN are saying so with _no knowledge of what the current prosecutors and investigators know about these cases._ Talking heads on TV are paid to say whatever will glue eyeballs to their channel, they are not paid for their honest professional opinions. I strongly advise that we allow the DOJ to do their jobs, because despite the seemingly slow pace, they're scoring a lot of wins against Donald and his codefendants.
